The Real UT?

NOT surprised when I noticed this "fluff" was from the TENNESSEAN...a real rag that I receive weekends. Who wrote this drivel? Likely a VOL-hating Dore-mat. To even suggest Texas' finger sign rivals running through the "T" in Neyland is laughable. Woodsy, you got my gall stirred up. Happy? Oh yeah: Texas was invented by TENNESSEE VOLUNTEERS!:whistling:

What? They give the edge to Texas ugly orange over our beloved Clorox Orange. No way.

I vote for Vols Orange!

COLOR ORANGE
ADVANTAGE: TEXAS
The Longhorns look is classic and easy on the eyes. The Volunteers orange, particularly in a large group, can be jarring, depending on where your loyalty lies.

Wut? Burnt orange is "easy on the eyes" and more so than UTs more muted (my words) Orange? And wth does "jarring" mean in this context? I think it fairly easy to decipher where the author's "loyalty lies".

Noticed it's written by The Tennessean. Had to cover whoever's ass wrote that drivel.

Clay Travis maybe. no he would have claimed it hoping to be a Finebaum someday. David Climer, to weak for him. Ah, hell probably an intern from Texas.

Any true fan would have know about Texas ripping of and using the power T. I wonder if they ever settled the lawsuit for infringement. Hell we gave them the UT helment symbol now they want the power T.

I thought it was fairly written....

Living in Texas for the last 20 years, I can say that...aside from the occasional delusional yokel...this is a good natured nonissue...a fun back and forth between devoted followings. I'm as likely to get into a discussion with a fellow Vol fan than a Longhorn...course I'm in DFW...full of Sooners, LSU Tigers and...BAMMERS :yuck:...my brother-in- law is a lifelong Longhorn (living in Tennessee) and gets the same treatment...we take a friendly swipe at each other's shade of orange...debate who owns what logo and move on. It's more lively when they notice my Vol's IPhone case in Hooks or Bonham...but no hate...apparently the media is anxious for football too. :hmm:

I've only been down in TX for a year. Nobody really gets that upset. Any argument is solidly ended with the whole, "we were a university before you were a state thing." So its a friendly little back and forth, nothing serious. Rest assured, they'll love us if we beat OU.

The columnist is clearly a candy homer, he mentions Pat and leaves out the General , who is also beloved in VN. He knows nothing about Tennessee tradition , especially the one of kicking candy's ass. The past two years are an aberration, the tradition continues this fall.
