Is the spacing. It's absolutely horrible. Until that's fixed shots won't fall, the bigs will
Have no room to operate and there will be no driving lanes.
It might also have something to do with the guy who was supposed to be a 45% three point shooter actually being a 29% three point shooter. Skykar is getting some wide open looks and failing to hit, I know there's other issues, but if he was shooting like he's supposed to we'd be scoring 65-70ppg.
Less 3s and more trips to the paint would solve that problem.
OP's right, spacing is a big part of the problem.
Our posts still only get about 27% of the touches while we're still jacking about 33% 3s and most of them bricks.
Correct the spacing and it opens up the lanes for slashers which we do have.
Reese may help correct this problem. A little more basketball smarts on the inside doesn't hurt.
Kenny has learned nothing in 4 years.
I wouldn't have said it if I didn't believe it. They have one player on the team that has a shot of starting on a top 20 type team, ONE. The talent level obviously isn't their only issue but having higher caliber players wouldn't hurt either. It is what it is...
