The Recruiting Fix: Making sense of it all

Good job Sab.

I just feel bad for these kids, they have to grow up pretty quick because it's almost like getting a taste of how professional football is like. Coaches, staff, teammates all moving around constantly from year to year. Stability in question, uncertainty looming.

Every recruit, no matter how much he loves the coach calling him, should commit to a school and not a coach. Obviously there are exceptions for if a new coach installs something drastically new and it affects your ability to play football then a player should consider committing elsewhere or transferring if already in school. But now these kids might follow a coach or just stay closer to home and never play because of the depth that school has at their position, or the coach may bail out a year later from *that* job too.

Life lessons I guess.

Ja'Wuan James likely gone.

As I said, just let everything unfold and we'll see where we are.

Starting to sound like Miller is gone as well. Ja'Wuan James likely gone.

Miller??? Where did this come from, I thought he had basically given us a reaffirmation and was trying to even get some guys to stay.

From talking to James tonight, I could the feeling he was as good as gone. He was standing alone in the street watching everything unfold, and said he was not going to class tomorrow.

I never knew a coaching change could make such a dramatic change in recruiting. There is no tellin how many players leave. Our D-line class was outstanding yesterday, but now it looks like we could lose Willis, Miller, and Jac. If the rumors are true about Jac, that one stings more than any other could.

The Tennesseean is reporting that Jac is now looking at LSU. If we lose someone like Jac who was 100% Vol, what does that say for the rest of this class? I've got a bad feeling about this....

Sabanocchio-

When are you changing your name to Kiffinocchio?

What Kiffin did was 100x worse than what Saban ever did, timing-wise.

I'm taking this approach. I will say that I want the Kids who WANT to be Vols, period. I don't have ill feelings towards any decommits, if you don't want to be here, then good luck elsewhere guys.

Scout is reporting that Thompkins has opened his recruiting back up. How? Didn't he sign a LOI along with Simms? Sabs, HELP! Do you know the story here?
