Butch and his player's have been calling Alabama, "The red team". I think it's pretty catchy, from this point forward I'm never calling them Alabama again. (After this thread.)

What do you guy's think?

There was a pretty interesting article about AJ McCarron on grantland.com this week in which the red team's QB said that Saban coaches them to think of their opponents as nameless and faceless. Maybe this is a similar tactic?

Jerry Dinardo wouldn't call us Tennessee but referred to us as the "team to the west" or something. It didn't help him much.

I like it. It reminds me of ohio st calling Michigan the team up north. Just call them the plain old red team. But we need to watch our trees from here on out. LOL

On the radio today in Nashville it was said that butch is using the term red team because its just another team. Doesn't want the team to focus on Alabama or their no.1 ranking. js

I love this quote from CBJ, "Mentally, just by their name, when teams hear that name, they’re mentally beat already before they step on the field. I give them credit, but we’ve got warriors on our team as well. We’re ready to go to war.” Go vols!

Red Team is fitting.

Our boys are going to make them bleed.

We might not win, but they will be glad we leave. They will know they were in a fight.

I guarantee it.
