I see 7 wins and I consider myself to be a pessimist.

I disagree with you. and that's fine.

I see 7 wins as likely. 6 or 8 are also very possible. 5 would mean we wern't able to breakthrough and win a close game against a good team, which would be very disappointing.

I agree 100% ... a very disappointing season.

We saw what would happen if Worley goes down.
A very disappointing season for sure.

The better question is where you get that USCe or Ole Miss are losses. Spurrier for once wasn't using hyperbole... USCe IS NOT a good football team right now... and neither is Mizzou. MU as played a VERY weak OOC schedule and managed to lose to one of the most hapless programs in CFB AT HOME.

Let me put it this way. If UT had played MU's schedule so far... they're probably a 5-0 football team.

IMHO, UT should do no worse than beat MU at home and split USCe/Ole Miss on the road. This past Saturday in the first road SEC game for most of the team... UT played better than any of those teams. The team is getting better and should have Pearson and Smith back before any of those games are played.

We will win a game that we are not FAVORED to win. Remember the beginning of last season, most didn't think that we would beat USC?

Well, somewhere in this schedule is an unexpected win for us. Missouri? USC? Florida? Ole Piss?

Is everyone watching a different Mizzou team than me? I just do not see a team that I think is that much better than my Vols.

I really think the team that can go play for play with GA can win 6-8 games this season. But in the SEC every week will be tough. Wait and see

I turned ole miss and South Carolina into a maybe. I have 4 maybes. I think we win 2 of them, lose to Bama in a close one, and then win the "wins". That would give us 7 total.

With the way we are playing, 6 should be the goal. FL or Missouri will be our best shot.

Very good chance to beat SCar so flip that one from L to W. Throw in Missouri as well and I can see us coming out of Oxford with a W as well.

What are you talking about man?

Have you watched team 118 play? We looked like an inferior team to Oklahoma, and we still took them to the 4th quarter... we would win 4 out of 10 against UGA on a neutral field. Stop acting like we suck. We're been a solid SEC team. No game on our schedule is unwinnable. With the number of freshman playing, we should expect this team to improve week-to-week at a faster rate than any other team in the country.

We should be talking about whether we can still win the East after the crappy divisional loss we just had. Stop acting like a whiny son of Dooley, and act like we have the no-quit, Tennessee power team we actually have. We're probably the 10-25th best team in the country and if we keep playing the way we are:

UF - Maybe (probably)
Chatt - WIN
Ole Miss - Maybe
Alabama - Maybe
SC - Maybe
KY - Maybe (probably)
Mizzou - Maybe
Vandy - Maybe (probably)

We've already played our two toughest games of the season (according to ESPN's FPI for example), and we could have won one of them. Does this help you find a 6th win? We can win 6 games with this team and Peterman

Don't see why people think Mizz and Florida are good... I think those two along with Chatt UK and Candy are locks... which brings us to 7 wins

I think our season will be a success with 7 wins, would be ecstatic with 8 wins (thinking USCe win here) and would be unreal if we got 8 wins (Ole Miss? unlikely but still possible)

I'm clearly not watching the same UF, SCAR and Mizzou teams as some of you people. All three of these games are a toss-up, and two are played in Neyland. You know why UF was favored by 1? That ridiculous streak, which needs to end this weekend. Win this week, our confidence will soar and good things will happen.

People did you watch how poorly Ole Piss played Memphis State Saturday? If Memphis had anything that resembled an offense they could've won that game.

The fact that Ole Piss was only winning by 4 points at halftime and at home was embarrassing. I think we can beat Ole Piss.

The bad news: They were entirely overlooking Memphis because they host Alabama this week.

The good news: They have no reason to respect us or the SEC east in general, and we get them after Bama, TAMU, and before LSU/Auburn (with no bye weeks).
