Please forgive me VN if this is a repeat post. I'm not making an apology for DD or the game Saturday. But, I have not nor will I ever watch the replay of the Mizzou game. When we stopped Miz on the 4th and 1 and it was reversed after the replay. Was there enough evidence in YOUR mind to overturn this? We would have gotten the ball at midfield and I think we could have buried them. I was at the game, and it appeared he got nothing. Not looking for an excuse, just need to know from anyone who was watching the game on TV.
Thanks

UT had a total of 10 plays that could have changed the outcome but didn't go our way.

OK, again. I said I wasnt looking for an excuse, but you hardly ever see a call, much less a spot call reversed. Thats all. It shoudnt have made a difference.

In answer to your question - he was completed stopped with his initial surge - no one knows if the whistle was blown at some point because he was tied up and not making any forward progress. Right at the end he did fall and he landed at what appeared to be a point across the spot needed to be a first down imo.

One call shouldn't have mattered. Dooley blew it.

It's always the fault of CDD, LOL!

It can never be the fault of the players that have to go on the field and actually execute the plays that the coaches have called, LOL.

In my 50+ years of watching football I've never seen 1 coach run out on the field and try to make a play, LOL.

Sometimes many people on here are just silly or delusional, LOL.

Players never make any mistakes so everything is always the coaches fault, LOL.

It's nice that all football players are 100% perfect all the time, LOL.

Some people just love to hate CDD every second of the day so hating must be the only thing they do well, LOL.

VFL...GBO!!!

If there is ever a game where things started going in favor of Dooley instead of against it was this one.

1.)The fake field goal
2.)The catch in the endzone that was considered out of bounds. (The way the play happened it actually was out of bounds)

These were a couple things that in the past would have typically gone against Dooley

Isn't execution a sign of good coaching? Why do some teams change players but consistently execute, tackle, and have fewer penalties? What's the common denominator? Just curious.

Thanks

in real speed it appears he didnt make it. On the slow replay another angle shows he reached the ball out accross the 45 yard line (I think ). problem is you could only see the hand and not his knee or anything else. Where was the ball when the knee or body hit the ground. That's the problem I had with the reversal, you didnt get the whole picture of where was the ball when he actually was down. He could have reached the ball out later.
regardless, it is what it is :whistling:

Apparently so, if there was doubt, it is the coaches job to dispute the spot. More importantly was the decision to let the clock run down while your all American quarterback and two of the nations best receivers stand by and watch. Not only was this a piss poor coaching move. But imagine the confidence that Bray, Hunter and Patterson felt their coach has in them. Remember these are the guys who have kept this football team in any position to win all year long. And you are going to defer to your defense at this point. This is the issue you should have!

When it happens over and over and over again, it is indeed the coaching

I had a lot of issues with this game dude. That was one I was unsure about because I hadnt seen it discussed. I thought running out the clock with the two best receivers in the SEC was crazy. Along with trying to throw the ball on 2nd and 3, 3rd and 3, and 4th and 3. Theres plenty of blame it on the coaches to go around. Dont forget WE took a time out as the playclock ran out on Miz. I just asked a simple question.

don't worry about Titanandvols whatever. He has been locked hand in hand with Dooley and refuses to let go.

Four times out of five, the cameras are not going to have the angle to overturn that play. However, on that one, I thought they got it right.

Just seems to be the way it flows with Derek....he is an unlucky chap.

Agree I think they had it right also. And dooley is very unlucky or he has one hell of a curse on him.....I'm hoping it's him and not us :)

I thought they got the replay right. If that had been UT going for the first down, then obviously no one would have had a problem with the overturn.
