I guess this is sort of a mini-rant, but...
why are all the big franchise type entertainment features coming out these days fantasy based? From comic book characters to the seemingly endless shows about vampires, werewolves, zombies, etc. I'm getting a bit sick of all of them. I liked it better when like vampire's were scary, not your emo-boyfriend.
I never really liked, say, Dolf Lundgren that much, but I'm starting to miss the eighties action franchises at this point, better one liners and less latex/freaky make-up one the women. Things were simple then: find the Russians or drug dealers and kill them. None of this evil is good, sunlight makes vampires sparkle crap.
I came in peace, but I'll go in pieces now (whatever that means).
