I usually think it's pointless for fans to predict the future (or anyone else for that matter). However, I do think if Butch Jones ends up being a winner at UT, we will point to the 2013 Georgia game as the turning point.

Sure, maybe the Vols go on to win 4 or 5 games this year, but I doubt it. We have a fan base that will, rightly, be invigorated by this and underneath, recruits are paying attention to Butch Jones and the Tennessee Volunteers.

I think the worst is behind and if Jones continues to move Tennessee in the right direction then we will have a chance to surprise the SEC and the rest of college football over the next few years.

Go Big Orange!

Just about every huge play yesterday was made by a freshman. Punt block, punt block return, sack, td catch, etc. you see them realizing they can play on this stage. Two players caught a pass that were not freshman. One of those non freshman was a sophmore. The future is bright. Everybody wants to talk about what UGA lost yesterday but we were down many of our better players too. We are improving.

I was proud of the way we played. I was very impressed on how we came back in the second-half: in days past the Fighting Dooley's would have gotten blown out by four or five touchdowns at home.

I was very proud to hear the fans stayed to give the team a standing ovation walking back through the north endzone--these guys deserved it.

Mostly, I can't wait for the South Carolina game. I think it will start to feel like the good old days very soon.

Contributing factors in yesterday's performance were effort, determination, and just pure heart. There is no reason the Vols can't play the way they did Saturday for the remainder of the season. I am very proud of those Volunteers. :good!:

Watch over the next couple days to two weeks. Our committed players and players on the fence will be singing the Vols praise. My goodness....the excitement in Neyland stadium last night was incredible. There is no risk. Neyland continues with that excitement and the recruits will come.
