Kansas City residents are voting this week on whether to contribute tax payer money to a revolutionary rolling roof, that would be able to cover either Arrowhead Stadium or Royals Stadium (they are right next to each other.) If it is passed, the NFL has already promised the 2015 Superbowl, the MLB has promised the All-Star Game, and Myles Brand has stated that the Final Four would be brought back to KC (home to more Final Fours than any other city.)
That, on top of the Sprint sports arena and downtown renovations, passed last year (to lure both NHL and NBA teams to KC,) and Kansas City could just be on top of the sports world pretty soon. (in terms of venues, not necessarily championships)
