My sons are 29 & 22 years old…. Both of them only remember us beating Florida TWICE - 2016 & Last Year! I don’t know how to explain it- but we always play our worst game against Florida! — Chasing them ALL season long! Even if we beat UGA they have the tie-breaker over us in the division….

I AM SO SICK OF THIS S#!T !!!!!

It’s just a damn shame that almost TWO generations of VOL fans (generation being 10 years) haven’t even seen us win the SEC East — Sorry: Just Venting!!!!

Here's some learning so your tantrum doesn't seem uneducated:

A generation refers to all of the people born and living at about the same time, regarded collectively. It can also be described as, "the average period, generally considered to be about 20–30 years, during which children are born and grow up, become adults, and begin to have children."

Think he means boomers, Gen. x, millennials, Gen. Z wise which runs much less and closer to the decade so his eldest is a millennial and his youngest is gen z.

Either way we shouldn’t have lost to FL and the excuses are getting old.

What's getting old is all the Eeyores still pissy and posting every rando thought about their butthurt over the UF game.
We didn't play well. Didn't play to our potential. It happens in college football.

But you have to admit, it’s happened to us a LOT over the last 20 years and fans are a bit tired of it. It’s one thing to lose with inferior talent but it’s hard to accept it when it seems the fans have more passion than the team against a hated rival.

Florida playing bad against Charlotte didn't help

Beating UGA? Contending in the east? Tiebreakers? I just want a bowl game this year.

Of course it is tiring. I would rather beat UF than anyone.
Can we also admit it is tiring for people to continue to start threads on a topic which has dozens of threads available just so they can have a hissy fit?

Thanks for the clarification Professor Ducheé

One thing that often gets overlooked in this is that while the Vols are wetting the bed against the gators, Fla is envariably playing its best game of the season against UT. They then wet the bed against Ky and USCjr.

Well, I’m 56, and I haven’t seen the Vols beat Florida much more than your sons!

This literally made me weep. Those poor children. Imagine knowing you must start reproducing at age 10.

Speaking of which, how are your great- grandchildren doing? By my math, the oldest should be just about to start a family....

When Fulmer took over the program in 1993 we had a 15-7 win advantage over Florida. Now they have an 11 game advantage over us.

I watched the championship with my 8 month old daughter asleep on my chest…both sick with the flu. She’s 25 now and even if she liked football, she wouldn’t remember a thing. 5 and 6 year olds aren’t much better…unless they’re savants.

Totally feel ya! It’s like you’re already waiting for the dumb sh!T to start happening like the touching punts, letting D3 type schools score on you, losing discipline on a crucial freeze play.
