The usual suspects are a little overrated this year.

Bama, Ohio State, Clemson…UGA looks like they normally do unfortunately. Usually they struggle with South Carolina, not this year.

No conference has looked particularly strong, top to bottom.

Ohio St lost to Oregon.
USC lost to Stanford who was beaten badly by Kansas St.
UCLA beat LSU but lost to Fresno.
Texas got murked by Arkansas.
OU played a close one with Nebraska who lost to a bad Illinois team.
Bama dominated Miami who also lost to Michigan St.
Clemson lost to UGA.
FSU is garbage this year (again).
We lost to Pitt.
Auburn lost to PSU.
Iowa St lost to Iowa.
A&M barely beat Colorado who lost 30-0 to Minnesota.

The SEC & Big 10 look about even right now. PAC looks okay, but behind the first two. Big 12 & ACC look really weak.

Clemson doesn’t look like themselves. Very damn close to being 1-2 with a loss to GT. This offense is far from what it was under Watson and TL.

Last year basically didn’t count as far as I’m concerned in college football. Most teams played in empty stadiums, players sat out or was effected because of COVID. We are still early in the season and we honestly don’t know who is good or who is real at this point. Preseason rankings are usually worthless but never more than this year for the reasons I stated above. Bama is still the real deal. They are the ONLY team I feel confident in saying they are NC contenders. UGA looks really good but we’ve seen this before from them. No one in the B1G is a contender, in fact I think Iowa is the best team in theB1G. No one in the ACC looks like a contender especially Clemson. Big 12 and the PAC are AWFUL.

Most teams in the country still fear the SEC and wouldn’t want to play the likes of Bama,UGA, Florida, Auburn, Ole Miss or Arkansas right now.

I would disagree that the SEC is overrated. Bama is still Bama they were lucky to escape yesterday but Florida played their guts out and are improved. Georgia looks like the best team in the country right now. Ole Miss looks really good and surprisingly so does Arkansas. Even though though Auburn lost I was impressed with them.

Clemson's QB is not up to snuff.

In happenstance he was the #1 pro-style QB of the same class as Harrison Bailey.

Not really. Everyone looks beatable. There is none of the usual ungodly talents walking around this year that I have seen.

Bama was pedestrian against UF after the opening quarter. Clemson isnt much only scored twice on GaTech, so their offense isnt much anyway. Georgia still has a great D, but maybe not as elite as we thought, offense comes in spurts, but relies on out relenting the other team. Ohio State similarly doesnt have a talent that will just open games up for them.

Very average QB play across the SEC.

Maybe overall, but the SEC probably still has 2 Heisman front runners in Young and Matt Corrall. I’d say part of the reason why you’re seeing more parity throughout college football is because every CFP team replaced their starting QB’s. Throw in that Oklahoma doesn’t seem to be playing at a high level and it makes it feel like everyone actually has a chance this season. Iowa, Michigan and Penn State are in good shape in the B1G, the Big 12 kind of sucks, but OU is still in it, Oregon is looking very good in the PAC 12. This season is what college football needed.

I don't think so. Bama is still probably the best team in the country. Florida and Georgia look pretty good. Ole Miss is rolling. Texas A&M and Arkansas look good. Auburn just went on the road against a top 10 team and played them toe to toe. We have 7 teams that either are or very well could be top 25. That's pretty good. It could be 8 if LSU can their stuff together.

TAMU looks overrated to me at the moment. They've played 2 cupcakes and struggled against a Colorado team that got absolutely boatraced at home by Minnesota.

Lots of upsets and weird nailbiters everywhere so far. Georgia beat Clemson, but with 3 points scored by the offense. That certainly got my attention.

Something like 9 teams in the top 25 already have a loss after 3 weeks. It's a weird year.

I don't think any more "overrated" than others. The ACC is straight garbage, and Pac-12 mostly is too.
PAC 12 Championship Game should be Oregon vs BYU after BYU finishes rolling all five of their Pac opponents this season.
