Is terrible.

I predicted 5 teams out of the SEC would make the NCAA tournament. I still have hope that prediction will come true but Miss. State without Sidney will not make the tournament.

At this point the only SEC West team that is playing like they have any hope of something other than the NIT is Ole Miss.

LSU is about 3 players deep.

Miss. State lost to Richmond tonight.

Alabama just lost again, to Florida State a team that was not even close to being able to play with Florida.

Auburn has some bad losses.

Arkansas is baffling to me. Post rape allegations/suspensions losing to Louisville by 30 is understandable. Losing to Morgan State is not acceptable.

Also I was wrong about JP Prince and everyone else was right. He is truly horrid.

Wrong.

Vanderbilt looks great.

TN is a very tough team this year.

Kentucky is young but has as much or more talent than every team in the country.

Florida looks very strong.

South Carolina looks bad tonight, but overall is a far above average team.

The only team that absolutely sucks in the SEC East is UGA.

SEC East sure does suck.

I am waiting on the people who said I was wrong about Florida to show up and say they were off the mark. You all know who you are.

Florida sucks. With a recovering Morgan, MSU isn't what its ranking indicates. Look at that game. UF got killed on the glass but had some officiating help. Oh, and SCe sucks. Vandy isn't anywhere close to great.

Maybe we are going by different definitions.

Does great to you mean last years UNC squad? Final Four?

If it means top 25 then Vandy is looking great.

Florida also looks like one of the best 25 teams in CBB.

You can keep winning battles against no one using victory by definition, but you beclown yourself when you say that Florida sucks after they beat the #2 team.

Did you watch Vandy-Cincy? That's what I mean when I say they can't play. Any tough outfit is going to kill them.

Again, what about that UF team win was impressive, save the name of the opponent? It was an early season win, via FTs, over an injured basketball team.

I've never seen so much prognostication or bottom lies being drawn over a few preseason games.

The East is pretty strong IMO and should be for a couple of years to come. UT and Kentucky are both strong, Vandy is a lot better than they showed in the Cincy game I think and South Carolina has a couple of guys that can completely go off and take a game from anyone. Georgia flat out sucks but I think they'll recruit well enough in the future to challenge a couple of teams. The SEC West is pretty horrible. Sidney really hurts State but LSU just didn't do anything at all for me tonight. Alabama, Auburn, and Arkansas is just ehhhhh.

Absolutely. That game happens in March against a healthy MSU, the Gators lose by double digits.

They beat a decent St. Mary's team, a bad Arizona team, and Cincy handled them. They have done absolutely nothing of note.

They still have some great OOC games coming, but I think St. Mary's and Arizona are not bad teams and will have good seasons.

Cincy will not seem like a bad loss in March either, as Cincy will be ranked then and will have lots more scalps beside Vanderbilt.

Like I said, they were effectively handled by the best team they played.

Arizona isn't good.

One upset win doesn't make you correct on anything. As usual, your predictions are always off base. You make uneducated guesses and hope that somehow you will get something correct. You have nothing to brag about at this point.

Since it was such a good example in a few of those Kentucky threads, I figure it fits here, too. I am sure there were plenty of people who claimed Santa Clara sucked in 04-05. Then they beat North Carolina. Anyone want to tell me Santa Clara still didn't end up sucking?

You are on the record multiple times now saying Florida is not legit. I have watched them play now twice for full games, and against FSU and Michigan State, they look more like this years Syracuse than Santa Clara.

My optimism about the SEC this year is looking more and more well founded. Those who claim the SEC is not better than last year will look very stupid by mid January and even more stupid by March.

You missed the point entirely. You think that Florida is some great team because they lucked out and got calls against a banged up MSU team that would absolutely destroy them if healthy and without the disparity in FTAs. I am saying that the game means absolutely crap at the end of the season.

It seems to me that you would be able to enjoy the college basketball season a bit more if you would stop trying to prognosticate everything, and then have to defend some clueless assertions at least once a day.

Let it go man, let it go
