1. That's about what you'd expect coming off the Kansas win. Given the opposition, a first half letdown was almost inevitable.
2. Bobby Maze was superb again. He'll need to be very good again Saturday.
3. Getting in foul trouble against Kansas is one thing. There's no excuse for Wayne getting in foul trouble against the stiffs Auburn plays in the post.
4. Kenny Hall's development will be interesting to watch. If he can add bulk without sacrificing quickness, he'll be an All SEC caliber player.
5. Bone is a better version of Josh Tabb. He doesn't do anything to get you beat.
6. It's amazing Auburn has kept Lebo around as long as they have. Putting that product on the floor after that many years in charge is a disgrace.
7. The Dean Smith coaching tree certainly has some quality members. However, it also has some straight up losers.
8. It says something about the quality of your halftime shows when middle school kids beating on trash cans is an improvement. At least there was no "basketball dancing" involved.
9. I understand the sentiment behind the anti Kiffin chants. That said, do the students think Lane cares even the least bit?
10. I'll say it again. There's no reason this team can't start 8-0 in SEC play.

I agree with all of your points here. Number 2 is key and what's been missing since the departure of CJ. He had close to 10 Assist I believe?

Maze had 9 assists....

Other than the foul trouble Chism had a really good game. 12 points, 12 rebounds, and 6 steals for the big man....

JP about made me lose my cool there with the sloppy turnovers and such (about an 8 min stretch in the second)....

Def. agree with 5. With more play, and getting his feet more back under him, Bone will start hitting those shots. He can hit a 1-2 big threes a game for us.

While the rest of the team had a hang-dog look about them in the first half, Prince provided multiple sparks to get the team in gear. I'm not a fan of his because I'm from Memphis (I'm not originally from here and don't care that he is), but because he's able to provide said spark - at will. There is not a player on the team, as of now, that can do that. Hopson should be, but he just isn't there yet.
Maze and Woolridge, at the same time, are showing signe that they can do the same. I think this team can finish out well, provided they stay healthy. Despite what anyone thinks of Pearl, the guy can coach. It's not just motivation. He has this team clicking and we're just starting SEC play. I'm looking forward to the rest of the season and I agree that the team can go 8-0 beginning conference play, but I'm not ruling out 9-0.

Hopson dislocated finger...talked with a friend who is the usher befind the Tennessee bench. Non-shooting hand pinky.

The way the Barn was making everything they threw up I was begining to get a little worried.

I thought Bobby Maze played another great game, as long as he is playing at a high level this team will beat alot of people. Hope he keeps it up.

On a side note, how can a coaches son not shoot free throws?? I mean the kid has lived in a gym his entire life. His free throw shot is awful, almost as bad a JP's but atleast JP makes one every once in awhile.

On Wednesday, one of my profs said that her middle school aged daughter was in something called "The Trash Can Band" and they were playing halftime of tonights game. Believe it or not I immediately got the image of you booing some poor 7th grader.

Solid effort by the team. I was worried about a let down, but they played a good 2nd half.

I can't tell every time on TV, but approximately how many times per game does J.P. avoid rebounding in order to snowbird for a potential dunk in the hopes of getting on Sportscenter? I noticed it at least four or five times tonight.

Do you think the students give a happy rat's ass what Lane cares about?

UT students aren't the only ones with anti-Kiffin commentary. They're doing what they can to de-legitimize him.

Also, venting is good for the soul.

Apparently they do. Otherwise, why are they chanting about him?

this has been an exceptionally undervalued trait on recent Pearl teams. His value on this team will grow, if nothing else b/c of this.

I doubt they care what he thinks.

I bet they care that the world knows he's a fraud.

Most media outlets seem to be doing that job pretty well for them.

I think this is true of just about any of the "coaching trees." Coach K's has such luminaries as Bob Bender, Tommy Amaker, Chuck Swenson and Quin Snyder. Bob Knight spawned Quinn Buckner, perhaps the worst coach in the history of the NBA, along with a bunch of mediocre coaches like Bob Weltlich and Jim Crews. And of course, Roy Williams is responsible for Jerry Green, among others.

Why do you always bash on the Halftime shows?? Nothing to do with the game nor the team
