UAB over Alabama (and Virginia Tech, Colorado, BC among others) probably just put the state in disarray.

I have a friend who's a relocated Bammer and he's told me for years that basketball is a girls' sport.

it's pretty stupid and ignorant to be a fan of a university but only care about one sport.

Forgot that no one in Alabama cares about basketball.

Well, UAB fans do, but...

Let's rename this thread, "born yesterday."

Alabama trails only Kentucky in all time SEC wins, SEC titles and SEC regular season titles among the 12 member teams.
73 to 65 all time winning record against the viles.

That said, serious influx in talent heading to T-Town and you guys have one more opportunity to see if you can find a heart.

I've walked out of Bama's stadium wearing all orange after they upset us a few years back. I was ready for the worst, having walked out of Bryan-Denny after losses. Nobody even said a word to me. No "Roll Tide" or "You Suck", only a "Hey, there's a baseball game going on, wanna check it out?"
The majority of their fans couldn't care less.

That doesn't mean that people give a damn.

Obviously, it wasn't an upset to everyone.

There are several Tennessee football fans that cheer for Duke and UNC

And I tell those people to go root for Duke or UNC in football too. Heck I've known Vol "fans" that root for UT in football and UK in basketball. I also call those people "retards".

In men's basketball you are measured by how far you advance into the NCAA tournament not how many wins you got going in.

Alabama has made it to the Elite 8 one time, in 2004.
Which is the same number of trips UT has made.
