With a loss at home to Vandy, there will be no glossing over this season. I could have seen it happening if we had won out, including a crappy bowl game. You know, the "well, we had a tough schedule," and "well, the breaks didn't go our way..." or "we still made it to a bowl game for the 17th year in a row," or "well, we got on the right track and won 4 in a row to end the season..."

Now, we have managed to 1) lose to Vandy for the first time since '82, 2) not go to a bowl game for the first time since '88 and 3) have losing season for the first time since '88. All this after starting out ranked #3.

I'm not advocating getting rid of Fulmer yet, but he has 1 chance to make the appropriate changes, including but not limited to 1) complete change in team discipline, both on the field and off, and 2) bringing in assistant coaches on the offensive side of the ball who can coach their way out a wet paper bag.

as long as fulmer is coach there will be no improvement 5-6 next year

I don't buy into that. Even with our lousy coaching, our talent will typically buy us 9-10 wins. This year's schedule and some especially bad offense and special teams exposed us - hopefully some changes will be made. But I would seriously doubt us to go 5-6 again, even if no changes were made.

This year may be what we needed to get some changes made to problems that have been glossed over the past several years.

team got worse as year went on. we just lost to vandy and kentucky will get us next week. the whole coaching staff should resign. we are a terrible football team. cal, florida, georgia, lsu are sure losses next season and i figure fulmer will find a way to lose 2 more.

I am 100% serious about this. I say forfeit the Kentucky game. Don't risk any more injuries and we obviously aren't gonna show up to win so why show up?I say put all energies and resources into reloading for next year, nothing is gained by playing Kentucky.

Might as well get those losses over with this year, both Vandy and Kentucky had to beat us at some point. Rather it be now than when we had something going.

Yeah, I don't buy it either. You don't get to be the HC of a major College Football program by being stupid. Phil has to know that he has to make the tough changes or the door will be hitting him in the ^#@ next year.

I'm not one of the guys that wants to see DC back as the OC. I want to see a young, bright, experienced, energetic OC that has some new ideas and I want to see PF let that OC coach the way that he wants to coach.

It is looking more and more like RS was a sacrificial lamb.
