The snobbery championship is on CBS right now.

Does that include the partial fans? I mean the UT football fans who are UNC or Duke basketball fans?
I was a Duke fan first and my love for the University of Tennessee is second to none. I know people on Cut’s staff from UT and I know people in the Duke Basketball office.

If this is the case they really couldn't be Tennessee basketball fans, because they have already pledged their basketball fandom to another school.

Both blue blood programs with huge historical success. Their fans deserve to feel that way. We're getting closer.

In what Universe? UNC - 6 Championships, 20 Final Fours, 28 Elite 8s, 33 Sweet 16s.
UK - 8 Championships,17 Final Fours, 32 Elite 8s, 44 Sweet 16s.
UT - 0 Championships, 0 Final Fours, 1 Elite 8, 7 Sweet 16s.

Hopefully, seeing these numbers in black and white instead of through your orange glasses will help you reconsider this silly statement.

I’m shocked to see that y’all seem to prefer Duke to UNC. I guess I’m just put off by the elitist attitudes of a lot of Blue Devils alumni (about basketball but also just about being Duke alumnus) and I more respect UNC’s developmental approach to college basketball rather than Duke’s one and done approach.

I can’t help but see UNC basketball/fans the same way we see Alabama football/fans. They have annoying bandwagon fans that come out every year after a big win and refuse to see any wrongdoing by their school.

I’ll agree his statement was silly but how can a POT call the KETTLE black anymore than you here.

You can see how that statement is silly but you didn’t see any flopping by your beloved Memphis State players and you believe our players were rushing over to fight?

Kentucky was very impressive against NC. While I hate it, I do respect talent and effort not like cat inbreds

Don’t get it twisted...UNC would have gladly taken all of those one and done kids who chose Duke instead, from Kyrie to Zion.

You DO realize that there are almost no native Kentuckians on the team, right?

Yeah. They not only have been great historically but also in recent history too. Both Duke and UNC have won titles and had deep tournament runs within the last 5 years.

What really annoys me are the born on 3rd base and think they hit a triple fan bases, like Michigan football fans. Any inflated sense of self-worth from a fan base is annoying, even if said fan base has had a lot of recent success. It is doubly annoying when said fan base thinks that way and doesn't have anywhere near as much historical or recent success as they think they do.

I wish people would learn how to quote (or reply) around here. It isn't that hard. Just make sure your cursor is placed outside of the [ QUOTE ] brackets.

And then hit that magic Preview button. Geeze.

Never once said they didn't flop. What I said was, it was a strategy used because our starting backcourt is 5'7 and 5'10. The defensive strategy is to try to move in front of the much bigger guards to draw charges. The wild gesticulations when getting a forearm where exaggerated, but intended to draw fouls. If you watch UT play and can't see that Williams, Schoefield, et al lower their shoulders and extend their arms to muscle defenders away, you simply aren't watching the game.

BTW, this "flopping" can be seen every time Duke plays. If it's good enough for Coach K, it's good enough for me.

Never said anyone was rushing over to fight. Skirmishes during basketball games are silly and rarely become full on fights. Usually just a bunch of bitches mouthing at each other and pointing fingers.
