I’m surprised there isn’t a thread on this already. Who watched it? What were your thoughts?

It was a much better movie, most notably in the final act. The final battle scene went from the Joss Whedon train wreck to one of the strongest parts of the DCEU.

I also loved the way it cleaned up a lot of the cringe worthy Whedon-esque one liners.

I’d be interested to hear others’ thoughts

It’s been discussed a little in the WB/DCEU thread. Seems most that watched it enjoyed it. All agree the low bar of being better than the theatrical release was achieved.

I can’t bring myself to sit through 4 hours of Snyderness. I may eventually skip to some of the action scenes just to check it out.

First two hours are great, till the baby screams to be put back to sleep...lol. Once thats done, ffwd to end. In fact, DC is best viewed on ffwd.

Good movie, never watched the theatrical release. Had no idea I was getting into a 4 hour movie the other night... needed to be longer to develop characters new to the general public IMO. Movies like Suicide Squad try to develop all of the characters quickly and by the time they are done the movie is 3/4 over. Best movie and one of the most difficult for this aspect was Guardians of the Universe IMO. Definitely darker which is typical of DC V Marvel. Cyborg def different than on Titans... I need to watch it again to catch all the things you inherently miss with the distractions of home vs theatre..

movies like Suicide Squad are pure unadulterated, hot buttered garbage. which is crazy because their (DC) characters are really stronger

So I finished it. It's better than the Whedon cut, not much arugment there.

But.....I'm not going to act like it's leaps and bounds awesome. My expectations were very low. There's still a lot of meh in this.

Can’t disagree. Marvels success is based on individual character movies before bringing them together. Would have loved to see Modern Green Lantern, as an original founder of Justice League, in DC’s Snyder cut but would have needed to shed failure of Previous movie and it would have required one more character to be developed...

Lack of patience by WB is what caused this mess. Marvel spent 5 movies building to the first Avengers. Then teased Thanos and we didn’t get Infinity War and Endgame for another 10 years. Payoff was earned.

WB wanted to play catch up instead of earning their way.

The WB has worst content of all networks. Its a head scratcher.

Yep; Man of Steel wasn't even supposed to be part of a "DCEU", it was standalone. Then they decided to jump straight into BvS which would Marvel going straight to Civil War after Iron Man.
