Did anyone else listen to the sports page this morning. I did not get to listen to all of it because I had to go to class, but they were talking about a Florida football player, I think his name was Ronnie Wilson, got in a dispute with a guy at a club. Apparently he spit and hit the guy, then left. The guy followed him to the parking lot and called 911 to give them the vehicle info. This is when Wilson got a automatic weapon out of his car. And fired it in the air. Wilson then chased this guy in his car awhile before backing off when he saw police cars. The reason I brought this up, is because he only got like 100 hours of community service and no jail time... Pretty sure he got suspended from the football team for a year also. But how do you not get jail time for this. Hooker also the whole 911 call on the show today.

VolTSX23,

I can't tell you much about the outcome of the criminal charge. Don't know what went into that.

I can, however, tell you that I'm not happy as a Gator fan that he was not permanently exiled from the team. I've posted about this a few times and will say it again: Any use of a gun, in anger, to me is just not something where a second chance is ever in order. I maintain an open mind about it and I guess we'll see what happens between now and next year. But it would take a momentus action on his part to make me change my mind.

Yea, I did not see any articles on the outcome, but they were talking about it on a local radio show, and said it got dropped to a misdemeanor and he only got 100 hours of community service. I think it says more about our judicial system then anything. The 911 call was kind of crazy,

We've probably been talking about the Ronnie Wilson incident for 3 months, if I had to guess. Still, bad stuff all around.

I attemted to listen to the Sports Page today, but the combined stupidity of Dave Hooker and John Adams was too much for me to handle this morning.

It makes you wonder what would have went down had the police not decided to do something.

This is the 2nd incident under UM that involved an AK-47 and neither time ended with a player being kicked off(or at least one that played). You would think he might learn after the Bryan Pata incident, but I guess it is just business as usual for Herban.

There is no telling. In the 911 tape the guy keep saying he was right on his bumper and was waiving the gun out the window at him. He was very lucky.
