The State Capitol of Big Orange Country 🍊

My daughter and I drove downtown after dinner last night to see the State Capitol Building lit up in orange for the BaseVols. Thought y’all would enjoy. Nashville is (obviously) Big Orange Country.

Our tax dollars here in Nashville don’t go towards funding Vanderbilt. They do go towards funding the UT system. I like to remind Vandy fans of that. Both of them.

In all seriousness, I LOVED seeing this. I didn’t go by the KVB bridge to see if it was lit up orange too. I know they lit it up in orange after Pat died. But reminding folks that this is Big Orange Country is important. This area has the most talent in the state in football and baseball. The Vols need to always be considered the home team here in Nashville.

Think about the names who have helped UT get to this spot in baseball who are from the Nashville/Midstate area, not just this year, but the last 4: Beam, Burns, Behnke, Russell, Dickey, Denton, Tears, Hunley, Scott, Fitzgibbons, Tidwell…

We need to keep owning Middle Tennessee. I think we will. And Vandy is gonna have to just accept it.
