Agreed. You think Stokes has better potential coming out of HS compared to when Hopson came out? Hopson looked like he could be an absolute superstar but couldn't get it together.

J Stokes has off the hook potential, if we keep recruiting studs like this the future looks outstanding. :dance2:

I'm loving what I am seeing. The future hinges on getting good guard play. The rest is there including defense. Stokes - wow! Richardson - going to be strong. It's all at the point.

As Mike G says - turn off the crap switch. It happens inside the 4 minute mark of the first half.

He looks amazing. What a force inside!

It's so hard to keep these great players more than a year or two, though. That's the nature of the beast in college basketball. Let's enjoy him while we've got him....

Although I don't agree, did anyone hear Dykes say that Stokes would be with UT for a "minimum of three years?" We can only hope that MAN is willing to be with us for that long. He is going to be phenomenal!! Go Big Stokes!!!!!

It was kind of funny watching him at first because you could watch the 10 players on the court and know who the new guys because he looked a little timid....THEN!

WOW, what a start for the young man. I'm very impressed with his awareness. He's going to be a stud!

I hope you're right but I don't see how that's possible. The kid is clearly a monster inside. NBA teams, agents, et al. will be bending his ear and flashing lots of Benjamins at him soon. Hard to turn that down.

Question...this is his freshman year, and does this count as a full year against his 4 years?

From what I understand, it does count against his eligibility for NCAA standards. However, it does not count for NBA rules for a player to be seperated from high school for one year. With that in mind, I think we have him this year and next.
