Well the Media was calling Huepel a genius for putting the offense in sleep mode in the second half at Oklahoma and relying on the D to hold on,

I guess he believed it and wanted to do the same this week
It was the right thing to do against Oklahoma after we were up a couple scores and had them mostly stuffed . Not against an offense with a pulse when you're getting smacked in the mouth from the opening possession.

Was it? Is it really the right thing ever? I guess it is when you know you’re offense is a complete liability that might get you beat when you run it, so yeah it probably was.
I guess that should of been our clue as to what to expect this week.

I'm sad, very sad! Not so much we lost but the shovel full of humility we'll have to watch over and over by the local and national media all week as a constant reminder. GULP and PUKE! It's not the end but a real gut punch. Like taking that slow long walk home in pre-school with a bad report card.

Right call for the OU game considering it was a 19 point lead to protect. Tryna protect a 4 point lead then a one point lead with the same strategy, yeah not the right call Butch …er Josh

The reality is our coaches can't seem to get our players up for a big game, predictable play calling, and total lack of adjusting during the game to what is not working

Yeh that was the issue and Heupel knew it. We all weren't fully in tune to what was happening yet , because we were just waiting for Nico to light the world up , but JH knew the offense was a liability and that game could have turned south in a hurry.

I'm hoping this was what it was. But we're seeing signs DCs do not fear our offensive play calls. CJH is relying too much on Fulmer's pass out in the flats as his passing attack. Get the ball downfield past the LOS.

The reality is, we cost ourselves a shot at the playoffs. We must now beat both Georgia and Alabama and everyone else on our schedule to make the playoffs.

We would be in at 10-2 so we just need to split Alabama and Georgia ans hope for no more losses against teams we should beat. Still a tall order with this team.

This is why I stay away from social media after a loss. I prefer to cope in peace.

So much hype this year. Nico is the best qb and a heisman candidate and TN may contend for a national championship. I thought that was a little much but maybe good for confidence.

Turns out it was rat poison. Anyone can get beat any day by any one if they don’t prepare right. Mentally as well. See Alabama vs Vandy (not a bad thing that happened, may be a wake up call for everyone)

For some reason we can’t always play well on the road and lose a game we shouldn’t since Heupel has been there. We better see a different team this weekend

I would put the Uncle Lou quote of 1998 forever in the locker room and call out to the team that we have not won anything in a long time and have no reason to be proud. Bad coaching if you allow a team to get a big head in our spot.
