Wow. The Ancient One taking a shot at an authority figure. I never thought I'd see the day. Aren't university presidents the omnipotent intellectuals who help craft the NCAA rules you hold so dear? Are you actually saying a person in a position of power can make a mistake?

Never infered otherwise, anywhere, any time, any place.

Our discussions have centered on long-held, well estabilshed, tried and true rules, regulations and law.

Never once have I infered that people in authority are omniscient.

Besides, when you grow up, you'll understand that authority is not about the people who enforce it, it's about living by a code of law and rules. Without which we slowly erode into anarchy and mahem. I'm beginning to think that would suit you just fine. You Al Capone, Baby Face Nelson loving freako. :p

Capone and Nelson lacked style. Meyer Lansky, Charles Luciano, Bugsy Siegel, Albert Anostasia, and John Gotti. They had style.

Bundy, while a murdering sociopath, was intelligent and flamboyant. Berkowitz was a bumbling, pathetic nut job.

We do, it's called The Third Saturday In October, even though it doesn't always fit the calendar these days.

The Third Saturday In October has determined more SEC championships than any other single game in the history of the conference.

Florida/Georgia may be getting some spin now, but it won't last long.

UT/BAMA will always be the big game in the SEC. Bama will be back and so will we.

Yeah, you're right. I guess I wasn't thinking about it b/c it hasn't had much build up lately. Although the whole Fulmer/UA recruiting thing made it interesting in 04'

I didn't say he wasn't. He did have a genius level IQ and a solid fashion sense. I wasn't nominating him for sainthood, just responding to the Ancient One's question.

I wish we had something big like that. I know every UT home game (or at least most of them) is a spectacle. But I just wish we had one game a year that's huge and has something like this cocktail party attached to it.
I guess what I mean is I feel like we don't have a true rival. I can't think of any team that would call us there biggest rival. Alabama has Auburn, Florida has FSU, Georgia has Georgia Tech, USC has Clemson. I'm not even going to consider Kentucky or Vandy as a rival.
I'm probabaly just talking out of my a** but I just wish we had something like the cocktail party. With all of the tradition and success of UT football you would think we would have built something like that over the years.

I was told at a bar in Athens that UGA fans in southern Georgia hate UF the most, fans in Atlanta hate GT the most, and fans in northern Georgia, including Athens, hate UT the most. So, perhaps part of GA considers us their biggest rival. Considering that they have not been able to beat UF in what seems like forever (I think they did it once recently), I would think all UGA fans would consider UF their biggest rival.

See, this is what has me worried about you.

Flamboyant?

He raped and mutilated his victims after they were dead.

My grandpa used to slaughter his own hogs, but I never saw anything in it I'd consider colorful.

I can see it now, Hat's watching Silence of the Lambs, "That Hannibal, he's my man." :fool:

I can''t see attaching flamboyant to a serial killer. Boy, you need therapy. Ya know that don't ya?

You obviously haven't seen the interviews and courtroom footage. I didn't say his crimes were flamboyant. They were brutal and unspeakable. His public demeanor is what I was referencing.

My understanding he was told his mom was his sister, only to find out later in life that she was his mom.Never knew his dad.His grandparents raised him.His college sweetheart rejected him.He murdered girls that reminded him of her.Probably murdered even more unaccounted for.

Are we really going to turn this into a Ted Bundy thread? If so, it's going to the PUB.

I would prefer a King Kong Bundy thread. We should have a few words about the Master of the 5 Count.

Well, I once heard that Bundy was a Tide fan who refused to wear the color Orange.

Would that keep it in this forum? :biggrin2:

You have to try and bogart it into your sentences

I (Ted) like (Bundy) to (is) watch (a) Georgia (madman.) vs. (hatvol) Florida (I) every (know) year (you) because (don't) it (care) means (but) a (it) lot (was) in (pretty) the (tabboo) SEC.

Ted Bundy WAS a madman. The state of Florida toasted him. See, that's the connection to the Florida-Georgia game.
