Want a few key stats to keep one eye on while watching the game Saturday? Stats that, like a speedometer and tachometer in your car, can tell you at a glance how things are going under the hood?

Try these out:

372 and 3 : Levis threw for 372 yards and 3 TDs against the Vols in 2021. Kentucky wants to at least replicate that success this year. So watch for the progress they make on that front, quarter by quarter:

end of 1st Qtr -- 93 yards, 1 TD? More? Less?
halftime -- 186 and 2? Less?
end of 3rd Qtr -- 279 yards? 3 passing TDs?

26 in 7 : The Wildcat offense has allowed its own QB to be sacked 26 times in 7 games. That averages out to 3.7 sacks a game.

11 + 12 leading to 41 : against ranked teams this year (Pitt, FL, LSU, Bama), the Vols average 11 points in the first quarter, followed by 12 more in the second, ending up with an average 41 points per game. How do we do keeping that pace against the 'Cats?

Interesting numbers, thanks. This game will be determined by OL play, and we clearly have the advantage this upcoming Saturday. Our OL was a work in progress last year however that did not stop us from hanging 45 points against UK in the grocery store stadium. I expect us to give up some scoring drives allowing around 24-28 points. This game on paper seems like a really bad match up for the cats. I am assuming the gameplan on offense is run heavy with Rodriguez setting up play action passes. UT's defense has shown we can hold our own against the run while getting to the QB on passing downs. KY has given up a ton of sacks so far. Unsure about the overall health of Levis but if he is still nursing a foot injury then he will most likely not pose a threat running like he did against us in Lexington. I have a feeling that our front seven is going to have a PITT/LSU type of performance with relentless QB pressures, sacks, and hits. The recipe for a UT win is essentially the same every game. The offense must remain solid while the defense gets a few stops along the way leading to more possessions for Hooker and company. Overall, the defense doesn't have to be spectacular but at least decent. GBO!!!

Not to get greedy, but we've been on a upward trend throughout the season. The Pitt game brings down our offensive stats quite a bit. Pull that one out and the numbers are more gaudy.

I like what has happened with our offensive line versus theirs in the last year!

They are worse than we were now, and we are better than they were then. Good to see HH be protected and able to operate.

Well, this dashboard seems to indicate perhaps we might've won. Heh.
