I don't know if you ever get the "True Fan" banter over here or not, but I thought I'd share my response to a "true fan" on our message board.
---------------------------------------------------
As much as I love Carolina, I have accepted the fact that no matter how har I try, I will never be able to earn the title of "true fan."

Could I make the decision how loud I cheer, and how long I stay at the game? Could I decide whether or not to be a Gamecock Club Member, and what level of giving I will contribute? Could I make the choice between family time or work obligations and the games I attend? Could I just be the best fan that I can be, or do I have to sacrifice my first born on a pagan altar with Gamecock Spurs to prove that I am a "true fan?"

I'm not trying to bust your chops, t-cock, but the "True Fan" banter has gotten painfully old. I wish I could go to the game Wednesday, but I have to work. But even if I could go, I still wouldn't be a true fan since I don't have season basketball tickets or a luxury box.

Sorry.

That's pathetic . . . If you're not a true fan, just admit it!
