They should shoot the ****head. Set an example. My opinion has nothing to do with politics, fwiw.

The word hacked makes me shutter a little. Guessing a password because her clues were easily found is not what I think of when I think of hacking. Anybody under the age of 25 could do this. And for a person of her stature, that's like leaving the keys in an unlocked $50,000 car.

I might agree if he did it on one try just on a whim and then quickly exited (which I seriously doubt). It's not an effort like hacking Norad but it still counts

If he was a "b-tard" then he had to be a bit weird.

"a bit weird" is being way too kind

Wait, do you guys think he should have been doing hard time for guessing someone's password/personal info?

is your only problem that he did it with a computer? If she had left her door unlocked and he walked in and took the same info would you view it the same?

honest question, just curious

in similar news, the punk that hacked Bill O'Reilly's site was sentenced to two years in prison

Honestly, what's the harm of hacking Palin's email? Just a bunch of fart jokes and recipes for moose.

And let's not act like this was suppose to be some secure email account. All gov't related info was "suppose" to be in a secure account. This is like the email account you send all the porn spam to.

So, like if he walked into her house and took her mail off her table? Ya, I would view it the same.

Over kill on the sentence.... Probation would have been sufficient. Everybody in politics and the judiciary thinks they have special rules and apparently sentencing when someone steps on their toes. Above and separate rules compared to everyday folk.

I wouldn't really call this hacking. Of course, I don't consider what the media calls hacking to be hacking. I prefer the old school "cracker" term.

That being said, up until Yahoo finally decided to change my question from like 1998 (because I called them and told them to remove it), anyone could have walked into my account.

I think my question was something along the lines of "What is your favorite college football team?"

It might still be there; was last year. Nobody try...

If dude is a "hacker" because he lucked into an account, I'm a fighter pilot because I once sat in a F/A-18 cockpit.

I'm sure he also considers himself a "gray hat," like every other busted problem solver.
