Given the right matchup I could either see UF going to the Elite 8 again or losing ugly in the first round. I'll split the difference and say second round.

Florida is a good team, but they two major weaknesses their strengths cannot make up for like UK or Vandy or UT.

It's that simple.

Florida is a finesse team. Tennessee, UK, and Vandy (to a lesser extent) are bad matchups for them.

I might be picking Fla for a 1st round upset depending on their matchups. I don't think the SEC is that good this year. Not to discount what Martin and the team has done, but when Fla is one of your top teams and they have glaring weaknesses then I think that sounds an alarm bell.

...When Tennessee is your 2 seed without divisions...

Florida State at home in December and on the road at a shorthanded Alabama. What's sad is they still have more Top 50 wins than the entire Pac-12.

Florida beat Vandy back early in the year...January I think?

Florida is real real soft. They don't like being bumped around. I doubt that they win another game all year.

Eh, not so sure about this one. UK didn't dominate today, and Vandy won once against them (i think).

What happened to them? What happened to the UCLAs, Washingtons, Arizonas, and Stanfords? Damn.

I'm not sure. UCLA-wise, Howland's lost control of that program and they're crashing hard. Stanford hasn't really been the same since the Lopez brothers left. Arizona lost Derrick Williams. Washington is as inconsistent as ever. If they make the tournament (and that's a huge if), they could either make another Sweet 16 run or get blown out in the First Four.

That's just crazy. Powerhouses (and Stanford) just going to the trash heap.

Yeah, this is the most overrated team to come out of the SEC since Pearl's first team in '05.

They would've been #2 with divisions since the 3-way tie was with East teams.

I said that specifically because it's even more damning for the SEC. Being 2nd in the Division could mean that we're not necessarily the 2nd best in the SEC, non-divisional.

Florida is a perimeter shooting team that lost what little inside game it had. If the Gators make their 3's, they can compete with anybody below a 2 seed.

They can't beat a 1 or 2, no matter how well they play.

And they can lose to anyone if they aren't shooting well.
