Quote of the year - Rick Clausen at midfield against LSU after a 21 point comeback and winning the coin toss before overtime with a grin on his face "We will, uhhh, play defense."

My biggest argument would be in the most underated category, Mahelona being double and triple teamed made both their yrs. Don't get me wrong Hall was much bigger impact than expected as was Haralson but they have Jessie to thank for it.

I would tend to agree with you on that one as - but what about CJ Fayton - he seemed to be the only reciever we had that was willing to lay it out to get to the ball and a lot of the ctches he made were drive critical and right over the middle so he knew he was gonna get nailed. I know our WR play was awful all year but he seemed to be there in the clutch.

Our offensive performance was so dismal that it's hard to remember anything good.

Such a smart guy.....no class AT ALL. I think you would be more suited in the lesser state of AL.

Because TJ managed to turn a positive thread into another useless Randy bash.

The list that this thread started with is very impressive. I will only offer two changes. I wouldn't consider Hefney's punt return duties to make him more versatile, considering how often he put the ball on the ground. As for the most important offensive play, I nominate the opening-drive TD pass in the Kentucky game. The Vols played a sloppy game, but the effort was there all day, and it started with that first TD. At least the UK streak is still alive. Great thread, Dizzy. Your post made for a good read.

Don't you think that you ought to credit Chris Low of the Tennessean for the copyrighted Vollies lifted straight from yesterday's newspaper?

I just saw that article on the front page of volnation.com. I don't live in TN, so, as far as I knew, that was original material.

POSITIVE?? Nothing positive about the 2005 Tennessee Vlounteer football season. Let's put this turkey to rest and try to pick up the pieces next year.
