A first place vote for Louisville, huh?

I . . . have no comment.

Nevermind Texas gaining 2 spots for beating Baylor, but Auburn stays the same after beating the #2 team in the country.

That vote was from the guy that does his own weekly "computer" poll.

I hope you're not referring to mine...my computer poll has OSU #1, Louisville #8. I saw someone on here talking about his own "football RPI" that had Louisville #1, but he laid out his formula and I'll just say that I question its assumptions.

In the interest of full disclosure, here's my computer poll this week. And I agree that I don't like Cal's position. But then again, I don't know if I'd want to play Cal now on a neutral field...

Are you kidding me? I'd love for UT to play Cal again. We'd beat them down even worse. Cal just beat Washington State 21-3. Give me a break!

Dang, I had the Vols at 9

Moved them down one spot from my poll last week behind Auburn.

Not trying to single you out, but since we beat Cal 5 weeks ago by 17, what about Cal makes you think they are the 4th best team in America?

Again, not trying to rip you, just trying to understand the love affair that some seem to have with Cal. Who have they beaten to justify being ahead of us?

Given the new BCS standings, I'm leaving Cal out of my Volnation poll from now on, I'm over them.

Why was the poll released so early? I never got to turn mine in, and for good reason. There is a game with a top 20 team going on right now. I figured we would wait until all of the games were over for this week but I guess not.

Did the BCS wait for that worthless game tonight?

Did the AP Poll?

How about the Coaches?

Harris?

Because of the BCS poll being released on Sunday Afternoons this season, The Volnation Top 25 Deadline will be 4:00PM Eastern Time On Sunday.

The thread asking for everyone's poll was posted around 11 last night. That was a 16 hour warning. I'm sorry you missed it, but feel free to jump right in next week.

So far, you're only the third person that missed it.

Like I said, that's just my computer poll...I didn't place Cal at #4 by choice, that's just how the math shakes out. For some reason, all of the computer polls (including mine) love the PAC-10 this year. And since no one has even been competitive in a game against Cal since their debacle in Knoxville, that's why they are where they are.

Personally, I think Cal is a really good team and deserves a top 10 ranking, but behind Tennessee since that has been proven decisively on the field.

What's interesting is that we may have hurt ourselves in many pollsters' minds by hammering Cal the way we did. If it had been a close game, we would have been praised. But because it was a blowout, many look at the game as just an aberration.

Well, that's fine. I'll just not participate. It doesn't matter either way so I'll just not waste my time, nor your's.
