Potential wise, I think the WR's are definately a strong point...now how they play could be very different.

I think the recievers may be the key to the whole season. I mean look at last year, if they play more consistent and with a chip on thier shoulder we win 3 or 4 of the games we lost. They couldnt separate from corners last year at all. They have to play aggessive with the smaller corners and quit lollygagging around like a bunch of girls. If they do play to potential, we have a great shot at the SEC. If not, OOPS.

when i was watching our lineman it looked like they had good form and footwork they just plain simple dont a ton of talent and virtually zero depth. Since last year we lost 6 lineman from last year with graduation, tranfers, leaving early, and players sent home

We'll see when the season starts but I think the o-line will be good. Maybe very good. They were asked to lose weight and responded. Last year, they were painfully slow. They couldn't trap effectively. They couldn't get out in front of screens effectively. They couldn't pull effectively and they couldn't deal with even moderately fast pass rushers. They were just too big because the emphasis had been on getting big.

This group is leaner, faster, and look more aggressive. I look forward to see them move around and especially get out in front of guys like Coker, Hardesty, and Williams on screens... with images of T Stephens flying down the sideline dancing in my head.

As I have said before, I love this team. I love the coaching changes. I could end up being the most disappointed fan in Volhalla (or Volholler for you folks east of K'ville) but I am very optimistic about every part except the QB position right now.

I agree also. Our receivers are big and strong. They should go out this year and show those smaller Corners whos boss. Tropper with have them ready. No doubt in my mind.

one thing's for sure 1 or 2 good wr's will make a mediocre qb look great....and if EA doesn't get better, the WR will have to go get the ball. period.

I am not sure about the idea that our OL is a weakness. I bet you that the OL is one of the strong suits for this team. They have slimmed down and are playing very tough and fast. They are playing with intensity. And, what was that no talent jab? Are you kidding? Our starting 5 will be as talented as all but 1 or 2 SEC teams. I agree that in the previous 3 years or so our OL was a big weakness. But, this year it will not hold us down.

The other areas look like a legit weakness. I would add WR and OL to the strength. Now, the WR might be a strength by themsleves but they cannot be a FULL strength without somewhat solid play from the QB. So, there is a catch-22 in that situation.
