Florida may be better off with a #4 seed because they can play in Jacksonville for the first two games. In fact, I think that is what happens even though otherwise they would probably be a #3 seed with their conference performance.

I think you guys remain a low #4 seed. Probably get shiped out west.

I think tennessee will get a 3 seed.

#3 sos and #6 rpi in the nation weighs heavly with the tournament committe. but I do as well think florida will sneak into a three seed.

The way we have played of late, I can't see anything better than 4 seed. I see the Gators 3.

lol, dan, im sorry but thats a horrible prediction. no way in hell would ut get a 7 seed. they have top 5 sos, top 10 rpi. 20+ wins, 10< losses, quite a few big wins, have played like 16 games against teams that will be in the big dance. this isnt a popularity contest.

I think both UF and UT get 4 seeds..UT would have been a 3 if they made some noise in the tourney.

I know and your point makes sense, but I like you am sure have watched over the years the Vols get hosed like the chicago fire.

i dont think the committe will put much wieght on them losing in the tourney. but I do think they will give some pup to florida for winning it. we will just have to wait and see. either way if you are in the top 4 seeds, you have a great shot to run to the elite 8

I think it is despicable to put Bruce Pearl in a position to have to play UWM in the first round. Intriguing matchup? Not necessarily, most high to low seeds are not that intriguing until the actual upset. Not saying that UWM would upset UT or the other way around, I just think it would be bad for Pearl to have to coach against his former players.

I just dont like the 4 vs 5 matchup in the second rd..tough..UF had Nova last yr.

It would certainly suck to have to play UWM. I heard they start 5 23 y/o SRs. All have played for Bruce up until this year and all know his systems. Also, they were recruited by him for his systems.

Also, I agree with Vols2345, we ARE getting a seed, for that I am pleased with what the basketball Vols have done this year.

LawGator, congrats on a hard fought conference tourney victory.

Thanks! It was blatantly obvious to me that both teams were stone dead tired. S.C. almost pulled it off again. But I am pleased to see Florida go in on a 5-game streak, including wins over Kentucky, LSU, and Arkansas, all three of which are tournament teams. Good for the confidence of a young Gator squad.

Donovan said something very true in the postgame on CBS, which is that the 9, 10, 11, 12 teams in these brackets are going to have a lot of major conference teams in there that are good and can beat you. It is very tough to get past the first weekend. Like poker, you have got to get the cards, too.

There are some mid-majors that scare me, too. Face it, everyone is now 0-0. They don't give Florida an extra 6 points in the first round game just because they won the SEC tourney. Nor do they fine Tennessee anything for losing early. Just got to see who you play and try to survive the first weekend.

I will be surviving it in Vegas, baby!!

LawGator I have a question for you. Are you worried at all that florida may have wore down too much during this tourney?? It was easy to tell they were just dead tired today, and it seems the past 3 years that florida would be just beat down going into the tourney. nervous at all they just may be alittle to beat up going into the tourney? Well no matter what I wish you team the best of luck and will be rooting for all sec teams in the tourney. good luck, and wish your team the best.

First, thanks and I echo that sentiment. Its sort of like the bowls in that you now root for the other SEC teams to do well because it is a matter of common pride for all of us. Hey, would love to meet up one more time in the Final Four, right?

As to your point about fatigue, yes, it could be an issue. Don't know the schedule. Is Jax a Thurs-Sat site, or a Fri-Sun site? At any rate, even if its Thursday, that is still a solid three and a half days of rest and the team has been playing on similar intervals all year long. If Gators don't play in Jax, hope they get a Friday-Sunday draw. Tell you what, though, someone told me that Taurean Green had to have an IV yesterday to keep playing. The guy was barely able to dribble today at times, so it does worry me.

The light show downtown (I think) is cool. The question is "Are you with your baby"?

I'm flying out from Orlando on Wednesday night. She drives in from L.A. on Friday afternoon, so that's almost 36 hours of free time. LOL.

With our OVERALL "body of work" added with being #6 in the RPI and the # SOS, I will be VERY surprised if we are lower than a #4 seed. I think its possible we are a #5 but very likely a number 4.

Before yesterday, we were 7-3 in our last 10 regular season games so its not like we absolutely imploded the last 10 games which the committe like to look at. Again, our overall body of work and the #s should have us as a #4 seed in the NCAAT.

Dan, if Tennessee gets a #7 seed, it would be one of the biggest injustices in the history of the NCAAT selection process.

I agree with hvwarrior58...no matter what seed we are (I'm predicting 4 seed) we will play Wisconsin-Milwaukee. this game will draw media attention and the people who pick the brackets are always hoping for an upset. If any team is going to upset us in the tourny, itll be UWM mainly because they know our offense bc Bruce Pearl ran the same offense when he was there.
