I got the impression from the first season at the CDC that the government didn't really exist anymore. I'll have to go back and watch but I want to say that doctor said his CDC center was the last one standing.
Now in reality I'm sure some of the higher ups did get swept away into a bunker, but I doubt it will ever show that. The comic hasn't even gone there.
Yeah, poor choice of words. What I meant was even if the doctor thought everyone was gone and everyone else thought they were gone, some remnants of the government is hiding away somewhere.
When we were introduced to the Governor, he was wiping out some military types...seemed organized.
I thought this episode was fine. I'm actually OK with how Glenn survived. It wasn't really any more absurd than the way other people survived even though it looked like they got overrun. At least they showed how he got away.
So a few things...
Enid isn't with the wolves as many believed. I never really subscribed to that theory anyway.
I like that Glenn found the dude's note to his wife. It was sad when he didn't make it and Michonne had forced him to keep it before. (Still don't understand why they just watched him get eaten but whatever)
Rosita is a hard ass. I'm glad she got in Eugene's face.
Also glad Morgan got called out but I wish we had seen more of what happened when Carol confronted him the second time.
What caused the tower to fall? Were walkers going up in it making it unstable? Seems like someone would have noticed the structure integrity giving way before hand.
Overall I think this has been a pretty decent season and aside from the Glenn drag out I've been pretty happy with the pacing. It's all been better than the Hospital story line from the first half of last season or the first half of the farm season.
And while Glenn thing seemed like a cheap gimmick it did what it was meant to do which was generate conversation about the show.
Like most, the Glenn thing pissed me off. Then, adding insult to injury, that huge mob of trapped walkers that were on top of Glenn just magically disappear after awhile; allowing him to casually emerge with only a mild case of dehydration.
How many dumpsters that have legs like a friggin coffee table have yall seen?!
This show has lost its sack; it is becoming like a dang soap opera now.
Yes, it's the zombies in combination with what appears to have been some kind of fire that took place well before Rick's group got to Alexandria. At one point in the episode they showed the crumbling building then panned over to the hoard of zombies walking towards it.
What has me puzzled is the one building they showed had what looked like a giant gash in it, not like it was splitting apart but larger like something crashed into it.
I didn't think of this until now. I'm not sure I'm right without looking back, but did that truck that sounded the horn hit the building?
Right with you Swil. Magically a horde of what looked like 50+ zombies went away after he stabs like two. This show used to be good for being on the edge now it cowers to th masses. I don't even pay that much attention to it anymore when I watch. Just following the plot at this point and that has become stale. Prob the last season for meLike most, the Glenn thing pissed me off.
