this is for athletes of note that you haven't seen or heard about in a while. They could be former Vols (in/out of the NFL, coaches somewhere, etc), former recruits (but went elsewhere), or just random athletes.
Doesn't have to be football.

If you know about somebody mentioned, post it and I'll try to keep the OP updated

Tyler Smith is currently playing in Turkey. If I'm not mistaking, and I could be, he won the MVP in that league this year. I believe I read that somewhere.

Matt Milton transferred to Louisville and will be a senior this year. Hasn't produced much if anything since transferring. Will likely get buried in depth with the talent Louisville has coming in this yr at WR.

David Oku went to Arkansas state. Had a 1,000 yd rushing season in 2012 then 500 yds as a senior in 14. Likely the end of his football career as I don't think any pro team will give him a chance.

Lennon Creer, transferred to Louisiana Tech racked up 2,000 yards in 2 seasons. Was cut before ever making it to the NFL.

Bryce Brown, former #1 recruit in the nation, transferred to K-State - didn't do much, but still managed to get drafted in the 7th round. Played two seasons w/ the Eagles now signed w/ the Bills.

Slick Shelley transferred to Tulsa where he finished his career in 2009 with over 1,000 yards receiving.

LaMarcus Coker played in the CFL for a couple years. His football career is over.

Jerod Askew dismissed in 2010. Couldn't put in the work to play at the D1 level. Not sure where he ended up.

Demetrice Morely is still playing in the CFL.

Montario Hardesty was released from the Browns last year.

Chris Donald gave up football after his junior year at UTChatt.

Ben Martin. Last I heard he and former Vol DE Chris Walker were trying to sue the NCAA for some sort of hazard pay, for neglecting former players' medical problems as well as not educating them about brain injuries (or something like that). IIRC Chris Walker tried for the NFL but never got past the physical.

Brandon Jefferies was a very highly rated OL in 2002. Ended up at NC State IIRC.

I believe Chris Walker works with FCA, at UTC.

I saw Kelly Washington a few years ago at Eagles training camp, he was killing Asante Samuel in practice and letting him know about it. I was fortunate to be on the field for receiver/DB drills and have never heard so much trash talking. KW was holding his own but rarely saw the field that year other than special teams. Got beat out by a rookie named Riley Cooper

With the news of Riley Ferguson, I got to wondering whatever happened to C. J. Leak? He was from Charlotte too. For that matter, what is his more famous younger brother, Chris Leak, doing?

I thought I saw where Chris was on UF's staff in some offensive capacity.

I came into my apartment one Friday night after being out at the bars. He, my roommate, and some of his friends were high as a kite getting ready to pack another bowl. I wouldn't consider this too problematic except it was like 2am and we had a day game the next day. smh
