Surprisingly I haven't seen X-Men Origins: Wolverine but this one has a pretty good Director in James Mangold who co-wrote and directed Walk The Line!

You aren't missing anything in Origins.

If you are familiar with Wolverine lore then you may be pleased that it tried to adapt a lot of different stories. Unfortunately it turned into a hot mess of ideas. None quite gelled.

This one looks much better but ill be waiting till video.

I usually wait and buy the Blu-ray as well when its released. I only saw three films in theater last year (Dark Knight Rises, Amazing Spider-Man & Avengers) and have already tied that this year with (Iron Man 3, Star Trek & Man of Steel) its not to bad as my local theater has Saturday & Sunday matinees for $5.00. My next one I may go see is Thor although I did just get a free Movie Money ticket to Lone Ranger.

The first Wolverine sucked, so I'm not really excited for this one. I'll likely wait til Blu-ray.

Wolverine was my favorite comic character growing up. I have to say Hugh Jackman has done well portraying him. The origins movie was not great but not bad, so I hope they can improve upon it with this movie. Trailer looks good and I hope it is.

I love the fact they're doing his asian storyline a bit. Any confirmation on the time line for this though?

It appears from the trailer that at least some of it will be at the end of WWII as it appears it has one of the Atomic blasts featured. It also has Famke Janssen returning as Jean Grey but I haven't been able to determine if this is a flashback sequence or not.

Rumors are that most of it takes place immediately following X-Men The Last Stand.

So, basically, they are combining... part of his back story in some universes... with a future version of the X men franchise instead of just a prequel?

My what level is high.

Its worth reading the full article!

Hugh Jackman asking for 'Avengers' crossover with 'X-Men' and 'Spider-Man'

Hugh Jackman really loves playing Wolverine. He's proved it by being the only actor to star in every single "X-Men" film from 2000's "X-Men" up through 2014's "X-Men: Days of Future Past." He's the biggest vocal supporter of the movie franchise, which is why he has some clout when it comes to getting things done his way......

Anyone going to see it this weekend?

I think I will wait and catch a matinee next weekend.

A heads up that this might not be a movie to take young kids to see as from what have read it just barely made into the PG13 and had to have 12 minutes cut to get there. They have supposedly already said that it will get a unrated cut on the Blu-ray release.

Remember to stay for the post credit scene! Its supposed to tie into X-Men Days of Future Past!

I'm seeing it friday at the local drive in. I'm gonna have to sit through the smurfs to see it because the girl I'm going with wants to see that, but this gives me hope that it'll be worth it.

I'm at the drive in now to see Wolverine and the Conjuring. Double feature.

Both are very good movies. I highly recommend both.

Saw it today. Very good - agree that it is more story than action flick. There is still plenty of action, though.
