Jim Bowden, Nationals GM, resigns amid investigation into his alleged skimming of Latin American player's signing bonuses.

Bowden proving that not only is he a joke of a GM, but also a scum of the earth human being....Good riddance.

Good news for the Nationals is whoever they get cannot possibly do a worse job.

As a former employee of the Nationals, all I can say is, it's about time.

As an aside, Adam Dunn signed that overpriced contract just in time.

Remind me again who the GM was the last time the Reds made the postseason.

sort of related, but

if he can stay healthy and/or sane this year, Elijah Dukes is going to be a monster.

Loved watching him play last year. Unfortunately, he got hurt just when he was starting to put it all together.

Yeah, winning 90+ games was awful. Things are so much better now. What was I thinking?

I can't play for your stakes, but I'd make a sizeable wager that the Reds have a winning season this year, and could even snag the NL wild card if things break right. Joey Votto, Jay Bruce, Edinson Volquez, Johnny Cueto, Brandon Phillips and a hopefully healthy Aaron Harang represent a hell of a nucleus to build around.
