My goal before i left the Grand Strand, Horry County area was to bring my vision of a bowl game to Myrtle Beach. I succeeded. Although, I wanted the name to be the Myrtle Beach Shagging Bowl. Can’t have everything I guess.

I really wish they'd put a bowl on Christmas Day. I need something to watch at my family's house and nobody else watches the NBA. They used to have the Aloha Bowl on but it was always at night here in the mainland. I think the bowl game that's been proposed for Los Angeles is for Christmas Day and I think might be called the Christmas Bowl.

Heck I'd take the Blue-Grey Game coming back.

Yeah we did too. We'd try to pick out who players played for when we didn't recongize their helmets. Also since it was for players that didn't make a bowl or the bowl was before the game, and that meant there were hardly ever any Tennessee players in it.

Is anyone else weird like me and tries to watch at least some of every postseason college football game? I start the week after the regular season ends.

I try to watch some of all the following:

Every conference championship game.
Army-Navy (not really a postseason game but still a special game and it's after the regular season)
Every bowl game, including the playoff games.
National Championship.

I also add as I can:
Any FCS, DII, and DIII playoff game I can watch on tv or online, and especially the semi-finals
FCS, DII, and DIII National Championship games.
NAIA National Championship (has been on ESPN3 the past few years)
NJCAA National Championship (has been on CBSSN the past 2 years)

And to top it off, I try to watch some of the all-star games:
East-West Shrine Game
NFLPA Collegiate Bowl
Senior Bowl
Hula Bowl (starting this year)
And there is even another one that's called the Tropical Bowl but it's online only and they play at a weird time, like a Sunday morning.

I watch every bowl game I can, all the all-star games and every FCS playoff game that I can find on tv. I’ve been trying to catch the DII and DIII championships but I always seem to miss them.

Imagine a bowl game between the current Super Bowl Champions vs a team consisting of College all-stars?
That used to be a thing until 1976.
It was called “The Chicago College All-Star Game”.
Anybody remember this game?
Wonder how that would go over today?

The College All Stars beat the NFL Champions Green Bay Packers 20-17 in 1963 and the College All Stars beat the NFL Champions Philadelphia Eagles 17-7 in 1950

Those 2 are harder to catch because they're using put on ESPN2 or ESPNU and usually are on at the same time as the first bowl games.

Too many bowl games now! Don't we have 70 now or is it 40 or 50? Next we'll have 75 bowls with 150 teams playing! Hmmm? I can remember when there were only 5 or 10 bowls! Specifically the following: Rose, Cotton, Gator, Sugar, and Orange. Then the Bluebonnett, Citrus and Peach Bowl were added.
Change the number of wins to 7 in lieu of 6. That makes it harder for teams. Drop the number of Bowls to 30. Tough! Not all teams with 7 wins gets it and then drop so many sponsorships.
If you don't like my opinion, sorry!
Seems there are more basketball tourneys being added lately.
I've even heard that the ACC has added 2 more games to their basketball conference games for more competition.

The Liberty Bowl was added in 1959

I agree with you on the football bowl system but I know they will keep adding for financial reasons.

Why would anybody want less college football? If you don’t like it don’t watch it. The traditional NY6 bowls with the teams ranked 5-10 are the problem now anyways. These are the teams with the talent that doesn’t want to play because they are trying to avoid injury.
