This kid is at best the 6th or 7th best player on the team. He doesn't care about playing defense, his offense is non existent.

If we want to make the tourney we need to sit him.

Atleast he doesn't give up moronic baskets trying to go for an unblockable shot or something fancy and loses a defensive rebound like some of our players.

That was the worst pass since the time that guy handed it to the other team in the NCAA tournament a couple decades ago.

Then I guess you didn't see half of our other passes this game. He had the right idea, Maze just wasn't on the same page. At this point T. Smith is hurting us more than Hopson.

Hopson doesn't have the "eye of the tiger" as they used to say. He is always taking it easy, and never seems to get fired up about anything unless he dunks one. If he ever figures out how important effort is he has the talent to be an all-american. If not he will be a four-year role player with no chance of getting drafted.

Say what you want about Prince,Williams and Chism, but Tatum and Negedu both play very hard on Defense.

Well Tatum is getting SCHOOLED by Morningstar and Collins.

Tatum has played like utter crap since Georgetown - he's supposed to be a good 3 point shooter - and he can't even do that anymore. Tabb and Tatum HAVE to hit those open 3s if we want to win.

Collins is going to school about anyone he faces. Tatum has played great on D in our other games for the most part.

Hopson should be on the floor with a green light and told to go to the hole constantly. He appears to be our best shooter to me.

Play the zone to cover up our myriad defensive weaknesses.

Well the zone was working pretty well - then they realized they should shoot threes out of it and they made 2 quick ones and the lead went up to 14 or 15 really quick again... Morningstar hit one... and then I think the other was Collins but that one wasn't really due to bad zone defense.

Goodness - of course they're shooting amazing from 3 when they've struggled with the zone all year long. Figures.

What in the world caused you to think Hopson is our best shooter

Maybe the fact that he has the best shooting % from outside the arc other than the Brian Williams and Tabb who hardly shoot for outside? Just maybe - but don't let that get in the way of your argument.

I'm not so sure that he doesn't have the green light. I just don't think he's caught on to the college game yet.
