There just something different about being a Tennessee Vols fan

I heard so many times that our Vols would never be what they once were. So happy these nay sayers have been proven WRONG!
Same thing that’s being said about Nebraska now. Same thing that was said about Alabama pre-Saban, Oklahoma pre-Stoops, and USC pre-Carroll. Remarkable what happens when you hire competent coaches.

Hopefully, the UT has finally learned to NOT, NOT, NOT sabotage its own football program. We pounded at program death's door insisting on entry due to our own administrative stupidity. If we don't repeat this, we'll be the Orange Orge once again. CFB, be afraid, vewy, vewy afraid.

I'm always amazed how few the really great are at the top. When you find those leaders, you'd better take care of them and keep them home because there aren't enough to go around.

Guys, I get the excitement. I am just as excited as anyone buts lets do it two years in a row before we start thinking we are 100% back to late 90's.....
Yeah, I’m with you. I still just don’t see us as even a top 10 team. But heck, we have the resume. Maybe I’m just that battered? Idk. I think it’s gonna take a lot for me to get that late 90s swagger back.

I’m thrilled to be back in the conversation with a Natty likely in the next 3 years. Only thing I would change is to be doing it out of the power I instead but I’ll take this no problem l.

It takes competent administrative leadership to hire competent college coaches, we have been to the bottom of the barrel with booster infighting, bickering and backstabbing, we've endured the Fulmer fallacy that he was an athletic director, we endured Bev "Aunt Edna" Davenport and her incompetence and the jury is still out on Blonde Donde (she raised and extended Fulmer and Cornbread in May only to fire both the following January) we've pissed away mointains of money in buy out for coaches who never should have been hired, let alone raised and extended. Boling and Reese are gone, Dickey is retired in Florida, Pat Summit's statue reminds us that excellence is achievable and we still recite things John Ward taught us to say.

Look at the mess Auburn has been in, Florida is headed in that direction, Tennessee is in better shape than it has been in decades, but we still need to get past the NCAA investigation on the football side occasioned by Fulmer and Cornbread, with Blonde Donde asleep at the helm.

I don't think she's asleep at the helm any more.
