There WILL be high school football in Georgia

Yeah. I don't see anything that guarantees that there WILL be high school football in Georgia this year. I see the start date being pushed back. Of course, that could be pushed back again or cancelled at a later date.

If there is one thing that all politicians and bureaucrats excel at, it is kicking the can down the road.

I don’t care if we have to wait until mid-September or October, fans want football for high school and college. If there is no football, schools all over the country will face apocalyptic financial problems.

High school football is such a huge revenue generator.

Count on it. As it will be in College, we will see mass COVID infections or quarantines for teams in any given week. Realistic optimism is Ok but I do not see any reason at this time for that to occur. Unless God snaps his fingers and commands COVID to be over.

Hey OP, post a tweet about what the quarantine requirements are when a player becomes infected then I’ll get excited. This tells us nothing.

Hey @The Original Fade here you go. And actually my original post tells you that the GHSA is moving forward with the football season. They were never planning on canceling it anyway.

Y’all can keep being miserable and anticipate the worst. Maybe things will get worse later and they’ll cancel, but that’s a $hit mindset. I, for one, am happy that Georgia is planning to have football this fall.
And I’m happy that the thousands of young men who’ve been playing football since before they could tie their shoes will still have their senior year to play.
And I’m happy that all the young men who need football a hell of a lot more than football needs them will still have an outlet to keep them away from drugs, alcohol, and abusive relationships and behaviors.
And I’m happy thousands of young men will still have the incentive to do well in school when they’d throw in the towel otherwise.

But yeah I’m the misguided one
