I've been to every stadium except Washington. I guess it would depend on what you are ranking. If it's intimidation then here is how I would rank them. Neyland and LSU are at the top. Bama and Penn St would be in second tier. Wisconsin, Ohio State and Michigan are loud at times but I wouldn't say intimidation is a factor. Notre Dame and Rose Bowl are history only. Just my opinion.

It’s Big 10 propaganda. They used LSU to make the list seem credible, then proceeded to list their favorite schools.

Dead giveaway is they voted the Big 10/ Pac 12 bowl venue that is the most bland and quietest places in college football. Yay, look at the pretty desert backdrop! It almost looks inhabitable without modern engineering.:rolleyes:

OSU-Michigan the week of the "game" is the loudest you will ever hear it with 110,000 and 108,000 people yelling non-stop at UM or OSU stadiums.

What are they ranking them on? Apparently not intimidation, but maybe fan experience? Comfortable seats, good food/drinks, easy access, good announcing and PA system, appearance, views, something something? Or I dunno, great locker rooms, well-maintained field/turf, something else?

A link would be helpful.

There apparently were no exact parameters or criteria; just what they thought were "the best" stadiums as they saw them.

Also, I think recent team success has a lot to do with this. I've seen Husky Stadium as a top 5, top 10 venue in a lot of these lists that have been published after last season. They didn't show up in them before that. Same with Clemson.

They should use local recordings from seismographs with home victories. Neyland would win forever after the 2022 Bama game.

Truth

Vols fans shattered the previous stadium record of 118 decibels, reaching a volume of 125.4 during the Tennessee football 52-49 win over No. 1 Alabama. The 120-125 decibel range is similar to that of a jet engine, being right next to emergency vehicle sirens or a crack of thunder happening right above you.

Washington is getting credit for being podunk. It’s loud because they have an ugly tin roof over half of the field. It echoes, unlike Domes, which are designed for more than just sporting venues.

Washington’s stadium would be the last place I would want to hear a concert. However, nobody is going to out-noise 60,000 people inside of a tin box.

There's smaller stadiums that are more intimidating than a few on that list(VirginiaTech comes to mind). I get it though. Size and recentcy bias in the case of Washington. Washington's being half enclosed as mentioned plays a big part in it.
