Things I'm happy about today

So back in early 2004, the Memphis Grizzlies were playing the Portland Trailblazers at the Pyramid in Memphis. Well, a group of us from our work got tickets from a vendor right behind Portland's bench. Well, throughout the game, Rasheed Wallace was up there hitting on my spouse and one of the vendors. Well, there was a lot of good natured heckling between us, Mo Cheeks (Portland's coach) and Rasheed. Rasheed had lines such as "I make more tonight than you make in a year".

Well, about halfway through the third quarter, Zach Randolph (who was on Portland at the time) got frustrated at the ref's calls and he got benched. Well, we were giving him grief on the bench (Mo Cheeks ended up sending him back to the locker room since Z-Bo was really pouty out there) and since it was the end of the 3rd quarter, Rasheed was taking a break as well. Well, he continued to hit on the girls (especially the spouse) telling them where he was staying and his room number. Spouse (who always loves to trash talk) told him she was married, he was too ugly, and that he couldn't handle her. Cheeks just busted out laughing at that comment. Mo Cheeks told Rasheed "Get your head back in the game since you aren't gonna get it in her pants." Well, they put Rasheed back in the game and Rasheed dominated the 4th quarter and Portland won. Every time out he kept trying to hit on the two girls and saying stuff like "If you think I dominate here, wait til you see me later on."

Mo Cheeks was completely awesome that game interacting with us and honestly, Rasheed was funny as heck as well. I'm glad Z-bo finally ended up growing up some.

Well now that Rasheed is an assistant coach for the tigers y’all can go to a game, sit behind the bench and ask him if he remembers y’all.

Pretty much bang on. We go every 8-10 weeks, usually closer to 10.

Beef brisket, flank steak, NT strip steak, ribs, chicken, pork chops. We like their pesto. My mom is addicted to their praline pecans. $6/bottle Kirkland PG (the Italian 750’s, not the Cali 1.5’s.) Cat litter. 🤪 Parchment paper. Fago yogurt.

Re the liquor store, it beats the hell out of NC ABC stores. Also, we’re about to have houseguests for two weeks. 🥃 🥃🥃🥃🥃

The Costco store here has the best meats in the area... can get prime cuts of errything. And an excellent wine selection. Same here I try to keep it to 6-8 weeks before I hit em up.
