Going to go see "think like a man" on Friday.

I usually don't approve of ethnic films, but my gf wants to go.

Anyone heard anything about it?

It was a book by Steve Harvey, so that's a plus.

That is one reason not to go to this film. That book is a complete dumpster fire and does nothing to help black relationships.

Women need to think like women and act like ladies.

This is going to be no different than a Tyler Perry fiasco of a film. Watch and see... the only black men in the movie theatre will be black men with their girlfriends. The other 95% of the theater will be thirsty women.

Yeah, that is what I am expecting. Hopefully I can get a few laughs from it but I expect a lot of cringing and head shaking from myself.

Luckily we are going to a bar to watch hockey after the movie so, swings and roundabouts!

Also, she watches all of the stuff I want to watch so I should make concessions as well. Plus it will be nice to spend time with her before exams.

But yeah I am not a Tyler Perry fan at all. All of the plots are predictable and the humor just isn't my thing.

Having been tricked into reading this book, I wouldn't recommend it. Told my wife I'd rather she just be mad at me for an afternoon than go with her to see this crap.

Ouch.

My girlfriend just told me she hopes it's good since I don't like to go to movies.

At least I will get a tub of popcorn out of the deal.

I am trying to stay positive though.

I'm sorry, but I can't deal with the buffoonery and sophomoric jokes that these movies seem to just be filled with. But their audience licks that crap up and they make money on it.

Don't apologize to me. I don't dig on the stuff.
