He's tanned, rested and retired, and probably laughing at the poor helpless Ugas:

I doubt they are rethinking anything, considering they've already been to a national championship game and two sec championship games in three years with their new coach. Meanwhile their old coach couldn't change enough to win at Miami and was basically forced to retire.

What point are you trying to make here?

Georgia still one of the best teams and best talent in the nation. Sometimes it doesn't work out for you at least they had a chance to win every game just needed to make plays. Georgia has a bright future.

They're set up to be right back in the conversation again next year. When you recruit like that it's kind of where you end up great coach or not. He's lucky to be at UGA.

This seems appropriate for this thread:

Kirby Smart and Mark Richt numbers after 1st 3 years at UGA

CMR overall record: 32-8

CKS overall record: 32-10

CMR 2001: (8-4)

CMR 2002: (13-1)

CMR 2003: (11-3)

CKS 2016: (8-5)

CKS 2017: (13-2)

CKS 2018: (11-3)

They’re the same dude, only Kirby is way more irritating and behaves more like a jerky, overzealous grad assistant.

I can't tell much of a difference myself. UGA always has had a embarrassment of talent at their backdoor, so talent was never going to be the issue.

Ga. played with less "want to" than Texas. That's all there is to it. It was said during the game that Fhrom (spelling) had to wake his team up like a leader should. Well he didn't look the part of a leader to me. Wonder if this my have a bearing on the "other guy" transferring. Will be interesting to see that play out.

Gosh. Does he ever! We were discussing that during their game last night. He looks like a fool out their flailing around on every single play with his stupid looking visor on ... at night.

That guy was a tough nosed defensive player. What happened?

And as far as comparisons go, CKS inherited a far better situation to begin with.

Smart has GA about at the height of Richt's career, close but no cigar. But Smart has a young team coming back next year less a few early entries. If he can upset the bama express, he may have a chance but that is a tall order.
