The following "NO-NO's" were pitched on this date in baseball history:

1. 1944 - Clyde Shoun of the Reds tossed a no-hitter against the Boston Braves (1-0)

2. 1952-Virgil Trucks, Detroit Tigers, pitched his first of two no-hitters of the season beating the Senators 1-0.

3. 1960-Don Cardwell, Cubs, became the first pitcher to throw a no-hitter in his first start after being traded. He beat the St. Louis Cards 4-0 at Wrigley.

4. 1973-Nolan Ryan, Angels, pitched the first of his 7 no-hitters beating Kansas City 3-0. He tossed his 2nd two months later.

5. 1981- Len Barker, Cleveland, pitched the first perfect game in 13 years beating Toronto 3-0.

Speaking of, hasn't been a no hitter thrown lately, has there? Last one I remember was Derek Lowe a few years ago for Boston...

They are few and far between anymore. I know the Braves had at least 2 pitchers who combined for a no hitter against the Reds a few years ago.

Yeah, speaking of combined no hitters, I remember the Astros using 3 or 4 pitchers to no hit the Yankees in the Bronx a couple years ago.
