This game was lost by our lack of pass rush

Carson Beck throws picks when he‘s under pressure. When he has all the time in the world, he looks like a Heisman candidate.

We got zero sacks and almost no pressures either.

Georgia really couldn’t run the ball, but it didn’t matter because their offensive line completely shut down our pass rush, and our secondary (and any secondary really) can only hold up for so long before someone comes open.

The offense wasn’t great and that was a factor as well. No big plays. But if we had forced a turnover or two with our defense, it could have set up our offense with short fields. We just weren’t able to sustain long drives (other than the first one).

That was Georgia’s plan - neutralize our pass rush and take away our big plays to force us to drive the field to score. Their plan worked perfectly, unfortunately.

We’re gaining on Georgia, but we’re not there yet. Hopefully we‘ll take the next step and get them next year.

Defense was tamed tonight. No pressure, no tackles for loss that I remember. Gave up way too many big plays. Offense just isn't clicking like it should at this point of the season.

Exactly my take. Beck was starting this game like he ended his last. He was given way too much time to find his receivers and had a field day. His confidence just kept growing. If we could have gotten to Beck, he would have coughed up the ball. No idea why this D line can't get home.

A lot of passes out in under 3 seconds, but even then no one was even remotely close to touching him. Beck can probably wear his jersey again next week without washing it, he was clean all night.

But part of the reason he was able to get the ball out so quick was the TEs wide open. The WRs had some contest catches, and some contested drops but the TEs were wide open

Beck had time, any quarterback worth a **** is going to make those throws.

Reversing the fumbles was rough, especially the second one when Delp caught it,took two steps and was hit.

The defense gave up some big plays across the middle last week if you remember. It remember thinking how that had to improve and it did not improve one iota

Rushed 4 all day. Didn't work. This team lost their chance at a playoff game tonight. Crap on the road is a Heupel trend..

Well that and we never adjusted to covering the tight ends. But you are correct. No rush and no blitzing = no turnovers, no sacks and Beck throwing for 350 yds. Abysmal adjustments by the defensive coaches.

And on offense, inopportune penalties and a key drop caused us to not be able to sustain drives when we needed to. Throw in a few suspect calls by the refs and you get what happened tonight. Face it gang. We are better but not quite ready for prime time. It is what it is.
