This team just isn't as good as everyone thinks. Certainly not a final four type team that I continue to read on this board. We've played awful for 5 games in a row especially on offense. The book is out on us - play zone and make us play a half court game and hope Hopson/Tatum aren't hitting the 3.

We have basically three good offensive players (Hopson, Harris, and Tatum) and two of them run hot and cold. If they have off nights we can lose to anyone. We don't scare anyone offensively at the center position. We also do not have any leadership.

Any notion that we have a deep rotation is far fetched. Just because we play 10+ players doesn't mean much. Our bench is not producing points like they should. The reason we are playing so many players is because no one has stepped up and contributed off the bench consistently.

This team will win with defense and how our three best players (Hopson, Tatum, and Harris) score. When they play well offensively we can beat anyone.

I still think we have a great team....the rotation just needs to be cut down to 8-9 players, because we have no continuity running 11-12 players every game. We will be fine. We just have to start playing with confidence again.

No arguements.

Once the rotation is extablished, this will be a very good team; a team made for March Madness...

agree with op. would love to see things turn around, but am not counting on it. pitt and nova aren't looking back in awe, they're saying wtf. great teams and players bring it consistently. outside of harris, we're not even close.

Or maybe Bruce could try recruiting a shooter and a tenacious defender instead of guys who look good on their crossover dribble.

This team may not be Final Four good, but they sure as hell aren't as bad as they've been the past 5 games.

I just watched Charlotte live and they had to hold on for dear life to beat Mercer - a lower tier A-Sun team - by 1. They looked thoroughly undynamic. It's flat out sad that we lost to those guys in our own building.

We lost to Charlotte in the Charlotte bobcats building. Still a bad loss of course. Just saying.

I'm just hoping for a decent SEC run and a SEC tourney win.

And of course....a final four appearance.

You're right. Still after what I saw today, it's sickening that we could lose to a team like that.

I agree I don't think its a slump we're just not very good. IMO the better team and better coached team won tonight. I see Jerry Greene happening all over again. This season is fading away and so is CBP future with Tennessee. CBP revived our program and now has taken it back to where it was when he inherited it.
