Lets just double down. MO and the AU. AU should be in top 10 also after this week.

Mauk didn't look as good against USCe as he did the week earlier - not sure why the difference.

Wouldn't that be freaking awesome. We would have to be ranked going into the bowl game if we top Mizzou and auby then finished with wins against candy and kensucky. That would be three signature wins for Butch and a signature road win. He stated thats the next step to win big on the road.

I think our O-Line will come out nasty and we will dominate the line of scrimmage on both sides of the ball. Now I will say if they spread us out and make A.J. cover we will be in for a long game.

We're going to have to run the ball a bit and move the chains on offense. It's not just about sacks.

True, but Mizzou's D-line are a bit lighter and more athletic. This is good in some respects, but it also allows them to be moved a bit better in run blocking provided they are unable to shed blocks.

It's strength v. strength and I like our chances at limiting the disruptiveness of Mizzou's Dline.

Well they are going to spread it out and make AJ or somebody cover. This is why coaches get paid the big bucks to figure out how to counter the spread. War Gaming.

This article is just another beat writer that knows nothing about SEC Football. He could have left it at Crazy finish in SEC division. If he doesn't see MO at least obtaining two losses then he is crazy. One for sure is Texas A&M, Ole Miss will play them tough and the SEC schedule always wears you out so KY is even a possibility seeing that it is a road game.

As far as Tennessee is concerned, it is a weathered team playing the toughest of competition. MO brings nothing to this game that Tennessee has not seen this year already. With that, and the possibility of a QB that can move the pocket and tuck it if he has to then I see us winning this game.

Key will be covering the spread offense, check. Applying pressure to the QB. We have faced running QBs this year in the likes of Oregon, Fl - 2nd String, South Alabama, and Shaw. The GA game hurt us because we did not expect Murray to run it. Defensive pressure and DBs attached at the hips of the MO player.

In reverse, Mo's DL has not faced a line of this caliber. Period. Overrated maybe but given the composition of opponents and new system installed we will deal with it. RBs are seeing wider holes and the strength and conditioning has made a difference alone with the no quit attitude.

Look for this game to be close early on with UT winning by 7+.

Their defensive line worries me a little bit
If Red Zone defense is any indication of how good your D line is (and I think it is)
TN #22 Mizzou #84 in the country.
And we've played 2 of the best teams in the country.
Finally going to see how good our boys are up front (o-line) next 4 games.
They will dominate Mizzou.
Seniors making their bid for 8-4 season. won't be denied.

If the Vols had a schedule like Fresno St., Louisville and N. Illinois, would we be a .500 team? Would we be a 1 loss or 2 loss team? If so, shouldn't we be in the top 25 instead of the imposters that are now in it?

Or put another way, would the 3 mentioned above be 1 loss teams if they had to play Oregon, Florida, GA , SC or Alabama? Would they be in the top 25? Just asking.

I love it. If mizzou thinks their just going to walk over us their crazy. I'm sick and tired of everybody talking crap about us. I can't wait till Butch gets us rolling and beating the **** out of these teams. Its coming. GO VOLS!

I hope it comes this year with a win over #11 SC, #9/10 Mizzou, and a top 10 auburn (after we beat Mizzou's ass) and finishing 8-4. How sweet would that be? I sure hope this staff and seniors get this team pumped for these last four games! GBO!

Mauk didn't look as good against USCe as he did the week earlier - not sure why the difference.

He's a RS FR and the game and defense had him under much more pressure than the previous week's had. You can see the difference in his stats (he only completed 40% of his passes; 10 completions...only 4 in the second half)

They're trying not to show it, but they're hurting without Franklin in there at QB
