From the first watch(es) of women's basketball at UT I would have bet anything that there would never be a big crowd watching. I would have lost. I thought a couple thousand, tops. That they average over 10,000 to me is still mind boggling. No one would have ever gotten me to believe that. It's an amazing thing to have accomplished.
As UT fans we may be too close to appreciate exactly how big Pat's influence on women's sports is. If Pat had taken over, say... Notre Dame's women's BB team instead of UT's and done the same thing recordwise-with the press and media push of the midwest ... she would by now be Saint Pat .... or maybe Our World Leader.
