Teams when because they throw **** up and make it. They don't earn it like a sport such as football which is yard for yard.

It is all luck...

You might as well roll dice to decide who wins the game.

Lol. He said its all luck. Like they don't practice and work to make those shots.

Its mostly skill, which speaks volumes about our team.

I played a lot of basketball. Go out and shoot, one day you are hitting and the next missing. Missouri was just throwing up crap and it was always going in. They won't do that in another game. This happens all of the time in Basketball, it is like rolling dice.

It’s not ALL luck. But basketball involves more luck than other sports due to hot/cold shooting and the fact that officiating depends on whatever the refs had for breakfast.

Tennessee had bad luck tonight.

I think the trick to winning is not let it get down to the final seconds and only a 2 pt lead. Somewhere after tip off try and build a lead, you know, play defense, hit more baskets than the opponents

LOL. As a statistician, I realize there is a lot more randomness in sports like basketball and ice hockey compared to football. Some folks like that, others don’t. It does make the NCAA basketball tournament more interesting to me than the NBA Playoffs.

Sometimes there's luck, and it's very rare to have a buzzer beater happen two straight games. However, they had a chance in both games to close it out at the line,and/or play defense. That didn't happen, and they lost.

That was a prayer every sport has its share of them, Kid threw it up and it went in, nothing more to it. It is what it is. Tennessee should have taken care of business then that three would not have mattered.

I see all of the time where you are in the face of a player playing great defense and they throw something up and it goes in and then you have situations where you run a great scheme and are wide open for a shot and brick it off the backboard.

There is no logic to this sport. Literally CBB has gotten to the point of whether you are hitting 3s that day or not.

This is what is and has been bugging me for several seasons now. WHAT HAS HAPPENED TO THE INTENTUAL FOUL!! I have seen this in games all over the TV coverage from all over the country, when a team is behind they late in fairly close game (10-12 points or so) start INTENTUALLY fouling at the earliest opportunity. Sometimes even before a ball is thrown into play. The statement made in an above poet about the Last 2-3 minutes taking 10-15 minutes to play would be over with. Here is the point,, EVERYONE KNOWS THE FOULS ARE INTENTUAL. Just call the foul what is is INTENTUAL!!

I like the Lee Trevenio approach….”get out and practice and get lucky”. Missouri CLEARLY was on fire all night. They made tough shots all night long. Credit to them however the next game with the same type shots probably won’t fall even close to that percentage clip. The last shot was really tough. A contested shot from that spot on the floor…probably 10-15% range of making it and not much better when uncontested. BUT…they all count and it sunk us. Bama coming in so no time lick wounds and make excuses.

It will all make us feel better if we get the luck, good shooting, whatever you call it in March and make a run. Problem is we typically don't have that luck/clutch play in March.

I have more respect for Vanderbilt’s buzzer beater because it was a good play on their part. The Missouri shot had a lot more luck involved. If he takes that shot in that situation 10 times, he might make it twice. Maybe.
