I want to point out that the military people in this article aren't joking. They weren't saying we are trying to work on a brain washing method like the Manchurian Candidate and some day we might be able to pull it off. They are saying we were asked to actually pull a Manchurian Candidate situation on our one Senators to get more money and because we didn't want to do it (meaning they could have if they wanted to) we told them no.

Two small points:

1) This is some damn scary stuff.

I haven't read details on what they were asked to do, but I assumed it was a lot more about manipulation than planting thought bombs that would go off later.
