Les Miles of LSU was not coaching to win tonight, he was coaching to simply not get blown out and lose by 10. As was every other opponent Florida has played this year, and every opponent Florida faces from now on out will try to do. Which is to lose by ten. This also just in Urban Meyer claims the entire team had "the Black Plague", causing the team's poor offensive performance.

I'd say a non-concussed Tebow woulda added another 10 on them. I'm not sold on LSU when they shoulda lost to GA and MSU. Did you guys catch the stat of 89th against
3rd down conversions...heh. Cajun's are gonna get real tired of 3rd and Chavis.

.

Well, to be fair LSU didn't lose because of their defense.

If anyone watched that game last night and did not notice Tebow was hesitant the first half and was avoiding contact, then I watched a different game. A healthy Tebow and the Gators score at least 10 more points, also take into consideration the top recruiting classes the Tigers have had the past 4 yrs and playing at home. Their D played well last night against a handycapped Tebow, they earned them a moral victory.

No no no no no no... This is not an argument that you can take a homer attitude with. Concussions are serious business. If tebow was not healthy, he would not have played. Thus no handicap. Thus.. FU is overrated IMO. Maybe tebow was taking it easy and not running up to his usual, but the concussion is no excuse for only beating LSU by 10. The flu is no excuse for only beating the VOLS... well you get the picture... With the gators schedule, they should waltz into the SECCG.. and that is truly a shame.. because they won't be beaten up like Bama.. os LSU.. or.. anybody will

I don't know how Tebow can be on any Heisman watch after that game -- 123 yards? We held him to 95(?) yards.

Heisman is wide open this year, but for Tebow to win -- it was be as stupid as Obama winning a Nobel Prize. Oh wait a minute......

Nobody on these boards hates the gators as much as I do.. believe me. As I have said before if they were playing Al Queda, I'd be wearing an OBL T shirt. But... I have to admit, tebow is a leader, and THAT is what the hypeman is/should be all about. Without him.. the gators are average at best... With him and that lame-ass schedule they have... They will still be number one.. because of the media love yet again... and all week long the media will be talking about "Tebow's heroic effort at fighting back against the concussion, yada yada yada..."

Personally, I'd vote for Jaquori (spelling?) Harris from Miami... or.. Monterio Hardesty...

That QB from Miami is going to be special.

Show me where I said Chavis lost this game. The stat of 89th in the nation on 3rd down conversions allowed is what I was talking about. That is for the season. Read before you post.

Chavis cannot stop the better OC's. UF is vulnerable on O and were especially vulnerable in this game. Everyone in the world knew that Tebow could not take this game over running the football. UF has speed and supposed talent at WR but none of them are playing particularly well. TT's dependence on Harvin and his YAC are pretty apparent. Because of this Meyer shortened the game... yet when it counted, Chavis just couldn't get it done. UF had 22 first downs and dominated TOP by 13 minutes.

IF UT had played UF the game after TT suffered a concussion... they would have won.... and I really have no doubt about it. UF's O started moving in as much as they did against UT when Tebow started running. Up until that time, CMK was stopping everything else they tried.

Chavis should have gone to the NFL to become an LB coach a long time ago. The guy is a living example of the Peter Principle. It just gets covered up by his performances against overmatched teams.
